  1. Maybe he wants the Sox to score a run here then have the game called and rescheduled.
  2. If Mirabelli K's here, I'm going to rip the computer and TV apart.
  3. I second that, great catch by Nixon.... please say that ESPN hasn't gotten back their coverage. Sweet.... still have NESN.
  4. Sh-t, if they call the game, the O's get the win. Please, rain.... give it a rest (atleast until we take a lead).
  5. Mirabelli didn't even set up that 3-2 count in the strike zone, c'mon what was that?
  6. Wow, ESPN just picked up NESN's coverage.... SWEEEEEEET.
  7. Welcome to the board, I've seen a few of the tattoos that you're talking about (the 'B' from the cap), but I don't know where would be the best place to get it.
  8. ESPN just lost their coverage because of rain.... good thing I bought MLB radio so I could listen to WEEI while watching the game. In other news, Nixon is picked off and the O's get out of the jam.
  9. On WEEI, Castiglione and Trupiano just made the comment that if the rain keeps continuing like this, the game probably will not go on much longer.
  10. Great, Pavano is out.... what more can go wrong with my fantasy league team?
  11. Do you not have a TV where you are, Youk? Or are you choosing not to watch the game on NESN?
  12. Wagner? Only if he's alright with closer by committee.
  13. Bah, c'mon Sox pitching... all we're asking for is great play during the next eight games.
  14. Let's re-start this thread.... what was the comment between Damon and Schilling? Did one player say something about the other? (listening to WEEI)
  15. I've read that the Sox would only trade Payton IF they have another fourth OF option lined up for sure.... whoever we get should be a pretty good player. Thanks for your time in Boston, Jay, I loved watching you play. Everytime I see Randy Johnson throw a pitch for some reason I think of your HR over the Green Monster earlier this year.
  16. Sounds like we got the better of the deal. Atleast Cora has done a LITTLE BIT of something in his past.... he's a career .243 hitter to go along with 181 RBI and 28 HR.
  17. I don't know if that can be right. According to the Globe's Gordon Edes, even with PawSox first baseman Roberto Petagine's great numbers in June (.370, 6 HR, 21 RBI), they are still quoted as saying "but the Sox have no room for him (Petagine)." That's got to mean that Millar is going nowhere anytime soon, and that he is fine with his playing time.... why wouldn't he be? If you want to talk rumors, what about Bill Mueller or Jay Payton for a reliever? Payton is unhappy about his playing time and say a guy like oh.... KAPLER could be back. As far as Mueller goes, the guy's contract ends at the end of the year and Youk has shown signs that he's ready to step in.
  18. Clement will be an All-Star as soon as Kenny Rogers does the right thing and decides not to go.
  19. At the beginning of this year, I began keeping track of all the Sox pitching stats (click link in sig) and today I started adding a few more things. For instance, the dates that certain pitchers were optioned to AAA Pawtucket and called back up or when a pitcher was put on the DL. What I need help with is I'm considering adding the starts that Schilling, Miller and Wells made in Pawtucket (atleast I believe Wells made a start in AAA). I already looked on redsox.com to try to find those stats from each game and couldn't find them. Just wondering if someone could tell me where I could find some of these stats.
  20. Foulke is having arthroscopic (sp?) surgery and will be out 4-6 weeks.
  21. So who's using Bam-Tino's quote as their next sig line?
  22. You're always going to get the age old argument of how great Jeter is because of his "clubhouse leadership", but I'm a 'what have you done for me lately' kind of guy, and Jeter hasn't done anything last year or this year. Therefore, JETER, YOU SUCK.
  23. You know, speaking of the Bruins, I think when hockey finally comes back I should try to get into hockey.... especially if I'm considering attending UMaine. I understand the game, it's just not really big down here, seems pretty fun to watch.
  24. Just realize that you guys have it good.... I'm watching the Rangers broadcasters who suck so much that I also ordered MLB radio so I can listen to a 10 second delay of WEEI.
