  1. In a way, I feel bad for the Devil Ray fans because everytime a team like New York or Boston comes down, they are drastically outnumbered -- but with all the incidences in the past between these two teams it's kind of tough to feel too bad for them. But heck, as long as they keep beating New York & Baltimore I'm fine with them.
  2. I think you're right, BoSox. Both Boomer & Park get 7 point something runs a game, Park's is just a little bit higher.
  3. You're right 26-6, let's not go with "the past" which I guess to you can include this past season. Let's talk about this year: Once again, we are out in front of you and have been so for a majority of the year. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about your team picking up Nomo in order to help your rotation. Let's talk about you losing 3 of 4 at Anaheim. Let's talk about how the Royals can arguably be better than you. Let's talk about Tampa Bay being the definition of your "DADDY." If you want to not talk about the past, there is this year summed up for you right there. Pick a topic.
  4. Yep YankeeDoodle, with the Rangers it's pretty bad to watch the games if you're a pitching person. It's like this team just goes out there nightly and tries to put up 10 runs in hopes of winning.
  5. yankees4ever: surely you are not comparing NESN to YES, right? because if you are, I'm going to have to figure out a way to slap you over the internet. Either way, NESN offers some pretty cool things. A one hour pre-game show, a pretty well put together post game show, Red Sox in two on gamenights in case you missed the game, SportsDesk with HAZEL frickin' May, and many other things. I don't know how you can trash the network.
  6. Yep, after running your mouth following beating the Red Sox and the Rangers, your team team has fallen apart once again. After losing three out of four in Anaheim, the Twins have shown they can dominate you and it doesn't get any easier facing the Angels again after this series. P.S. I'd like to dedicate this to all those who came on here and ran their mouths after the Boston series as well as those who made comments about Clement being down after getting hit by a pitch in the head. How do you even expect to make it in the playoffs when you're as inconsistent as it gets?
  7. Schilling has worked too much lately. Hopefully he won't have to pitch on Friday because I don't think anyone wants to overwork the guy.
  8. Nice idear of throwing out this trade, but you can't trade away Manny, Foulke, Mueller and Bellhorn in a single trade. I wouldn't accept it at all. For what it's worth, you still have to keep faith in Foulke about the way he could pitch healthly in the future & Mueller is one of the best, if not the best third baseman in the league -- not to mention he is as clutch as they come. I don't think Soriano is what he used to be, either. But who knows.... the Sox have were big last year on making an uneven trade and trying to get rid of Man-Ram, so it maybe the same this year.
  9. I don't know why Manny has such as attitude problem. I just don't see how athletes can continuely put themselves ahead of the team... Manny is the perfect example.
  10. Wow, make his next start? That's truely amazing.
  11. You beat me to it, riverside. But that's fantastic news and hopefully Clement came come through with a speedy recovery.
  12. Has it not been mentioned yet on here that Manny asked to sit out today's game? The guy is pathetic. He wanted to sit against Chicago also, but Francona said this would be better to sit against Tampa.
  13. It doesn't matter what team you root for.... I don't care if that was the Yankees on the hill in Tampa last night and Randy Johnson got hit in the head, there's no reason you shouldn't show some class and pray for the guy. I can't imagine what that must actually feel like & what his family is going through. Credit to Yankee fans for showing class.
  14. Yeah, JohnnyDug... Jerry Remy was really ripping Baez for it as well. After he struck out Tony G and did that, the NESN crew was all over them, so I thought I should post a thread about it. You mean like this one I used on the post your own pic thread : http://tinypic.com/910768.gif
  15. A couple more thoughts on the game: - Bill Mueller is about as clutch as they can get - Manny Ramirez offense is fantastic, but those plays where he doesn't run the ball out to first and nearly costing us because of it can make me mad at times - Johnny freakin' Damon, what a show - Jason Varitek definitely proved why he's our captain today - Manny Delcarmen clearly has what it takes to be a great big league pitcher - Get well soon, Clement and Nixon - Way to go Red Sox fans in the southeast, continuing to show up and show your support once again. You guys are a big part why this team continues dominating in Tampa
  16. Just see them on different message boards. That one of the guy pissing really comes in handy sometimes if I feel the need to bash a player or team.
  17. Wow, I was scared to death for a second there, JohnnyDug.... I thought you were calling me a moron or something and telling me that he/she never said A-Rod on here. Pshew, I was thinking, "what did I screw up on now"
  18. He was actually from my hometown of San Angelo, Texas. I love watching this guy pitch.... one of the greatest pitchers of all time.
  19. Shut up, IluvmannyRamirez, this thread has nothing to do at all with Alex Rodriguez. What are you talking about.... I give you about 2 more hours before you're banned.
  20. If A-Rod did some of the things he did in New York, but did them in Boston we wouldn't praise him like the Yankees do. There is nothing to this guy, he tries to get every advantage he can even if that means being classless or cheating. Stop praising the guy so much or I'm sure you will be banned.
  21. I bet you felt really cool giving that fist pump at the end of the 9th inning. Did you not realize that you had one job, that would be to save a two-run lead and you BLEW IT? You give up a HR to V-tek, then three hits later you've COMPLETELY screwed things up and the Sox have tied it at 10. I bet you felt real good striking out our backup second baseman to end the inning. The 10th inning comes up, and Lou brings you back hoping you can atleast hold down the game and you can't even do that. You give up a leadoff HR to a guy who has only hit six on the year prior to that, you give up ANOTHER hit followed by your defense blowing what should have been a DP. Then captain Varitek doubles and drives in another. Want to reconsider that fist pump? http://www.redneck.org/piss.gifhttp://tampabay.devilrays.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tb.gif
  22. Welcome to the site. That's pretty cool that your parents met during the '86 series and your mom was a Mets fan.
  23. That is the greatest game I have seen this year since I have missed all three game winning homers. The main concern now is how Clement & Nixon are.
  24. Bill Mueller ties the game in the 9th. Hey A-Rod, take our your pen and paper and take notes -- this is what clutch hitting looks like.
  25. Oh my god, who the f*** are you... Dr. Phil? Here's the average Red Sox fans opinion: Screw A-Rod. We didn't land Alex because he wasn't worth the money, so quit your obsession with the guy and move on. He's in pinstripes now, and everyone in Boston is fine with that -- why do you love the guy so much?
