Wainwright couldn't locate his fastball that inning, but he got away with it. Franklin against the heart of the order is far from a sure thing though.

Great read by DeRosa, but that was a terrible decision by Rasmus.

Only guy left on the bench was Paul Bako, and he had to come in to catch in the tenth (if the game was extended).

Those were cross ups. That has nothing to do with Posada's defense. They might very well have been Sabathia's fault.

I actually think this what sort of a steal for the Dodgers. Tonight's pitching matchup was strongly in favor of the Cardinals, while tomorrow, Kershaw has a decent shot to compete with Wainwright. The Dodgers really impressed me tonight, and they certainly could have scored even more.

Yeah, I understand. And I know you don't fit into this category, but I just don't like when people say the champion is the best team. For what it's worth, I'm a big Giants fan. I still tell everyone that the Patriots were by far the superior team, and if they play that game nine more times, the Pats probably win each time.

OK, if it's still a five run game I'd prefer Rivera, but I wouldn't have an issue with Joba (as long as he is on a short leash).

Coke gets lucky. I have to admit, I've had my concerns, but I love the way Girardi has managed this game. Really happy with his decisions so far.

Teixeira has not looked good tonight. He may have hit that ball hard, but he also swung at ball four. The Yankees had a great chance to blow the game open and could not capitalize. Now, if the lead is four runs, and Hughes is not out for the 8th inning, my fears of Girardi will have proven legitimate.

They should have walked A-Rod. But in the postseason, you know that no manager is going to do that right now.

I really disagree. He has not been hitting his spots with his fastball the entire game.

CC really has no idea where his fastball is going. Also, how there can be two cross ups already is beyond me, not to mention Posada walked after that passed ball.
