  1. Ordonez really starting to hit scares me. Absolutely awful job by Gardenhire. With the heart of the Tigers order up in the 8th, Nathan should have been out there.
  2. That's interesting... There have been a lot of teams who have went into the postseason red hot and did nothing. There have have also been a lot of teams who have went into the postseason cold and advanced.
  3. He struck out...
  4. I don't believe in these kind of things at all, but Orlando Cabrera is a winner. It also looked like the left fielder didn't quite know where the wall was.
  5. Now how do the Twins play this? Does Span bunt? I wouldn't be surprised.
  6. Surprised that wasn't Leyland with one of his trademark mound visits.
  7. Jackson has a 4.83 in 15 games against the Yankees in his career.
  8. Oh, I never said the Twins had better things to offer. But considering what he has done in September, I'm optimistic that the Yankees will hit him. The possibility of Verlander pitching a Game 5 scares me, but I do like the fact that Jackson will face Sabathia twice (at least once, probably twice).
  9. You'd have to admit, though, that Jackson looks like he has hit a wall. I would be surprised if he was successful in the postseason.
  10. Lol, if the Tigers do make the playoffs, I will get a kick out of the 150 pitches that Verlander is probably going to throw in Game 2.
  11. Verlander gives them a chance.
  12. CD, once the play in game ends, I expect one of those nice DS threads for the Yankees haha.
  13. The consensus is that the Tigers have a better chance to beat the Yankees. Porcello has an excellent fastball so far today.
  14. Yup. He better pitch well, because not having Posada's bat will hurt. Burnett's numbers are significantly better with Molina catching, but it's also important to keep in mind that two of Burnett's most dominant starts of the year (@ NYM, vs. BOS) came with Posada catching.
  15. Some news today regarding the Yankees. Burnett will start Game 2, and, according to Posada, Molina will catch him. Girardi also said he think Matsui will DH that game. Also, Bruney did make the roster, and was surprised about it. I'm not sure who is further in denial; Bruney, Joba, or Kennedy? Close race.
  16. Tims, I believe.
  17. How long is Gardenhire going to stick with Baker?
  18. Verlander would pitch game two on Friday. I've stated this numerous times, but if it's Yankees - Tigers, and the series goes five games (entirely possible), I think the Tigers win.
  19. Favre has looked excellent.
