Guys, I understand that you're having a back and forth here, but for Christ sakes it's a get well thread for Lester. Can we AT LEAST try to keep the back and forth out of this one thread? For the record, Gom, a "get well, Lester" would have been fine. You've made it clear many, many times that you despise the Red Sox, and with the nature of the rivalry, that's fine, but you don't need to tell us once again. Especially in a thread about one of our player's health. I know you didn't mean any harm, but come on man, it's a thread about his health and baseball rivalries and baseball are secondary to everything else right now. On that note, let's just stop the arguing. Lester's a trooper, and I wish him the best. I just want this kid to live a long, happy life first and foremost. He will be a changed man after this. Has anyone even mentioned the fact that if Jones replaced Manny as this team's number 4 hitter, Ortiz would be pitched to less often? Jones is an offensive threat, but he's the best pure hitter in baseball. He protects Ortiz MUCH better than Jones ever would. Jones isn't consistent enough to protect someone like Ortiz. He has a powerhouse bat, but it's not consistent enough. Someone like Jones would be easier to trade, but Manny has more value to this team.

I don't either. It's just that Denver is that thorn in our sides. We'll beat you like once every 3 years, but that's it. In the post-season, you probably win. It's annoynig as all hell. I've been to 3 Pats-Broncos games in Foxboro (1 at Gillette, 2 at the old Foxboro Stadium) and the Broncos have won all 3. It's SUCH a pain in the ass!
