  2. If he becomes a clubhouse cancer or starts bitching about playing in a "racist" town, that will matter.
  3. Yeah, me and 7 other people...
  4. I don't think I'd rather have anyone on the Pats current secondary over someone like Champ Bailey or John Lynch.
  5. Untrue. The Pats blitz Manning all the time when they play the Colts. The one time Manning beat them was when they had a patchwork defense. Champ Bailey was keeping Marvin shut down basically single handedly. There was nothing that could have been done about Darrent Williams failed attempts. You don't have to blitz all 4 members of the secondary. Blitz Al Wilson and DJ Williams, leaving an OLB free to hold down the middle. That's 5 players guarding the pass, 2 blitzing linebackers, and 4 down linemen obviously going for the QB. As far as looking ahead goes, I'm not saying Minnesota's a pushover, I'm just talking about the Colts anyway. In no way have I penciled them in for 6-1 after tonight. I just don't like how some people may have rooted for the Colts so that if the Pats win that game, they'd be atop the AFC.
  6. This year we aren't injured. There's going to be hell to pay for last season. Can Peyton win in New England when he plays a HEALTHY Patriots' team? Last year he beat a patch-work defense. Let's see what he can do this time around. Hopefully he gets humiliated on primetime national television
  7. Good post. I wouldn't be surprised if he's embarrassed to go back out there next year. After calling out his teammates in the papers this past season and then proceeding to suck, he probably needed some convincing. Besides, maybe the Sox know he's losing it and if they have incentives looming over his head, he'll actually pitch better? I don't know. The point is, this money won't be wasted if Tito uses him correctly. If he's another 8 inning set up man I'm going to be pulling my hair out of head and bitching consistently about how he's being misused and how the money is being wasted.
  8. You probably shouldn't have. Bonds will NEVER be a fan favorite in Boston. If he comes here, we'll thank him for whatever positive stuff he does on the field to help us win but he will NEVER be appreciated. Let's remember that this is the same guy that called the city of Boston racist. I'll take him on my team because we'll win lots of games because of him, but I wouldn't appreciate him...I'll just say thanks and move on when his time here is over.
  9. He never said the Colts' offense isn't why they lost. I think he knows that Wayne is an elite receiver and that's probably why Darrent Williams had such a tough time. It's reasonable to blame Coyer for not blitzing more though. If Denver had blitzed on just a few of those plays that turned into big plays for Indianapolis, Peyton would have therefore been more pressured. And with the Broncos' speed, it isn't unreasonable to think Peyton would have tossed up some s*** throws. But, they stood pat, and Peyton tore them a new *******. I'm sure he knows that Indy's O is great, but it's not unreasonable to say the Broncos' lack of blitzes helped the Colts.
  10. Doesn't look good for the Broncos. Plummer was never down when the ball started to move out, he was on top of other people.
  11. See Red, Yes that graph is accurate. Thanks for finding it. Where'd you get it? The Broncos are looking good. The usual bend-but-not-break defense. Even when it bends, it doesn't bend much. 3-0 Colts, but it could be a long day for Peyton and Co.
  12. Thank God!
  13. Question: Does anyone in the Boston area know if we will get the Colts @ Broncos game at 4:15? I swear, if I have to watch the Browns play the Jets instead I'm going to be pissed.
  14. Damn it. That one hurts RIP Red.
  15. The only reason I said 2002 was because I couldn't even remember who was in it for a minute Last year wasn't that terrible considering: The White Sox were getting their first WS win in like 88 years... OR The Houston Astros were getting their first WS ever. I'm sure most other fans thought '04 sucked ass as well.
  16. 2002.
  17. That was Jim Edmonds that called the Cards the idiots.
  18. Who would be interested in a fantasy basketball league? I'll be the commish and run a basketball league, but only if at least 8 people are interested. I'm assuming YanksHater213 is interested, so we have 2 right there. Anyone else, let me know. I need at least 8, but no more than 10. First come, first serve. The deadline will be Sunday, October 29th at 8pm EASTERN time (5pm pacific). Deadline will be extended if not enough members sign up. If I have less than 8 members by Tuesday at 8pm EASTERN time, I won't run the league. Member List: -schillingouttheks -YanksHater213 -WildThing58 - - - - - - -
  19. Whoa, are you currently serving for our country? If indeed you are, thank you for EVERYTHING you do. As for your question, all we know is that Theo has said that there will be a frenzy of activity this offseason.
  20. He also had the pine tar on his hands for each of his postseason starts prior to game 2. The fact that he had pine tar on his hands at all is proof that he's a cheater. She called him a cheater, and you said she was pissed because he destroyed the Yankees. The Yankees were not in this conversation. She said he was a cheater, which he is. He had pine tar on his hands. Are you saying he's not a cheater?
  21. Take into consideration the fact that BC has the 11th toughest schedule as well. Clemson's is in the 80s. Go figure
  22. On another note, I really like Breslow. Is it set in stone that he will be on the MLB roster next season? He's looked more and more like the lefty out of the bullpen that we need and he looks promising. Whenever he was given the chance, he was absolutely dealing. I'm excited to see what he can do given more opportunity. Any word on his situation in '07?
  23. Editted in bold to prove your point even further.
