  1. Well I dare you to listen to Remy, not only is he extremely knowledgable about the game but he's funny as hell as well.
  2. Youks or Olerud, but I'll say Youks, Youks has been big for us all season and the more playing time he gets the quicker he develops at a player. Where to play him though is a different story to itself.
  3. Yeah he came back from the DL the other day. They waited for Hanley to come back from the DL to promote Pedroia.
  4. That's exactly what we were saying about the Sox about this time last year.
  5. I wish I could do that during the playoffs, but there is already a 1 or 2 second delay between radio and TV, and TiVo makes it worse.
  6. The San Antonio Spurs are the 2004-2005 NBA World Champions.
  7. PawSox are on NESN tonight for anyone who wants to watch Pedroia, Shoppach and the rest of the gang. Tim Kester is pitching today for the PawSox.
  8. Johnny's in a totally different situation than Nomar. You see Johnny's actually helping our team and a great clubhouse presence. It's not a given that Johnny won't re-sign, as he has seemed to lessen his demands. Plus it looks like in your lineup that all our spots are filled, so exactly who are we going to receive for Johnny.
  9. Globe reported today that Kapler was sent down to Yomiuri's minor league affiliate. He's been having problems with the Japanese pitchers' breaking balls.
  10. Haha, I would of loved to hear him quote some of the guys on the YES boards.
  11. Wow, our first soldier on talksox, I think I can speak for us all in saying that we are all thankful for what you have done and hope you return home soon. Welcome to the site.
  12. Welcome to the site.
  13. But you fail to mention that Sturtze had Kapler in a headlock. How convenient.
  14. Whoever thought of that had a shitload of time on their hand.
  15. I haven't been watching the game, but is this inning Embree's fault because it sounds like defense isn't helping.
  16. So how about that Embree guy.
  17. I don't know what you like about ESPN's announcers, I don't mind Miller that much but Morgan is a pain to listen to, he makes it sound like he is a know it all expert, and nobody else knows more about the game than he is. He's almost as bad as Tim McCarver.
  18. Oh they are all having orgasms over there, but a win like this especially one where everyone gets involved in the scoring really picks up a team. I have a bad feeling that this is going to be the game that turns their season around, because face it they are a much better team than they have shown. You do make a good point though, they can't score 12 runs every game, their pitching has been poor and it will have to improve to give them a chance.
  19. I agree Remy can just be hilarious at times, like today reading the newspaper. Him and McDonough were 2 of the best and really had good chemistry. I really disliked Orsillo in his first couple years here, but he really has improved and he has made me somewhat forget McDonough. They always make the game fun to watch even if it is a blowout. So I think we do take our announcers for granted.
  20. Unbelievable, oh well no gain in the standings. I'm worried about repurcussions though. These games can do a lot for your team even if it is against TB. Now watch TB get 10 in the 9th. I wonder how many fans are actually at the game.
  21. And 4-0 Sox as Ortiz now leads the league in RBIs.
  22. And there's a person right here, who disagrees with you. Look at their numbers this year and tell me who's better. Yes Ichiro and Pierre are both having down years but right now Damon or Roberts is the best leadoff hitter in the bigs this year.
  23. 3-0 Bottom 3. Meanwhile it's 7-1 Rays in the 3rd.
