  1. Well this memorable game thread is about to be closed.
  2. Yeah so well I called the Manny HR just in the wrong thread haha.
  3. f***nuts. Oh well it's still a GS and Mueller can hit a homer too. I just wanted to take people's mind off of Foulke. Lol.
  4. Wow took me a while to read this thread. Unfortunately for me I was not in a very good mood last night, and wasn't really in the mood to talk about this debacle. Plus I had to be at work at 8 this morning, and a cranky counselor with very cranky campers isn't a very good mix.
  5. How is Pedro on that list? The answer is Beltre though, Beltran has been playing hurt.
  6. As much as I hate to say it, 2nd base is not our biggest concern right now. We should deal with our 2nd base problems once we have our bullpen fixed.
  7. Beautiful start to the inning.
  8. Great job by Gonzalez to shut down Young and Teixeira.
  9. A big comeback for Miller in this one. Finishes his outing very strong. I didn't think he'd be anywhere near the mound in the 6th, when he had the bases chucked in the 2nd.
  10. Lineups Red Sox Damon CF Renteria SS Ortiz DH Ramirez LF Nixon RF Millar 1B Varitek C Mueller 3B Bellhorn 2B Rangers Dellucci DH Young SS Teixeira 1B Blalock 3B Soriano 2B Mench LF Nix CF Barajas C Matthews RF
  11. 11-8 Yankees in the bottom of the 8th. Bunch of bloop hits and errors have brought down the O's.
  12. I voted Torii, just because it sounded like he was winning, so a better chance the Yanks don't make it. I think Pods deserves it though.
  13. So you'd bend your knees more at 2nd than 3rd? At 3rd more hot shots go right at you so I would think that you would bend your knees more at 3rd than 2nd. But I'm not recommending Mueller play 2nd, I just think that the reason you give won't apply if they ever asked Mueller to play 2nd.
  14. If management asked him to play 2nd, do you think he's the person who would sit and whine because he doesn't want to play 2nd? I don't think so. If management asked him to play 2nd I'm sure he'd oblige.
  15. He wears his hat like that because he's legally blind in one eye. It makes it much easier for him to see where the hell he's throwing the ball to. So it's not because of immaturity.
  16. Red Sox demote Abe Alvarez and Ramon Vazquez to Pawtucket after today's game. Lenny Dinardo and Jeremi Gonzalez have been called up. I don't know why they even bothered calling up Alvarez.
  17. Well I agree with you about the fact that he clearly tried to swipe at Sheffield. Everyone else was bending over for the ball and his arm was towards the top of the wall. Arroyo hitting the D-Ray was probably on purpose too. But him hitting A-Rod was not. That was a total overreaction on A-Rod's part. Bronson is known to be wild which is why he leads the league in HBP, there was no history between the 2 so why did A-Rod start jawing at Bronson?
  18. 1st and 3rd now with Timlin coming in.
  19. Alright bottom of the 8th top of the order up, we need to score here.
  20. Lineups Blue Jays Adams SS Catalanotto LF Wells CF Hillenbrand 3B Hill DH Zaun C Hinske 1B Gross RF Hudson 2B Red Sox Damon CF Renteria SS Ortiz DH Ramirez LF Nixon RF Varitek C Olerud 1B Mueller 3B Bellhorn 2B
  21. 2:05 PM. Beautiful day at Fenway today as it will be around 80 all day. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/136880.jpg #32 Roy Halladay (11-4 2.40) vs. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/276520.jpg #61 Bronson Arroyo (6-4 4.21) Halladay went 3-2 with a 2.15 ERA during June and has won seven of his last nine decisions. He's gone at least six innings in each of his last 17 starts. Halladay leads both leagues in innings pitched (131) and complete games (five). Arroyo will try to have a more consistent July after going 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA in June. In his last start, Arroyo's numbers (6 2/3 innings, five runs) were better than they looked, thanks to a pair of defensive miscues behind him that led to four runs. Arroyo has pitched three times against the Blue Jays this season, going 1-1 with a 2.37 ERA.
