    I don't know if this is directed towards me but I don't like them, I respect their abilities. I respect A-Rod and Sheffield's hitting but I don't like them as people. I think the 4 I mentioned are good people and are/were players.

    We are in a hitting slump, no doubt about it. That's all I can really say, each team goes through this kind of stretch a couple times a year. This is one of those times. Our hitting will be fine.

The rookie allowed five runs on five hits in the 7-3 loss, including four in the first inning. Kazmir, who leads the American League in walks with 56, allowed four bases on balls against the Tigers. The right-handed Miller hasn't tasted victory since May 31, when he beat the Orioles at Fenway Park. This is Miller's first career appearance against the Devil Rays. Miller has pitched far better at home (2-0, 3.96 ERA) than on the road (0-3, 6.25 ERA). For whatever reason, Miller has had a hard time getting started, producing a 10.50 ERA in the first inning.

    Well we will see if Mueller's knees "break down" at 2nd, and if he's physically incapable of playing it as soxie suggests, over the next 2 weeks. Cora is playing tonight though.
