    According to the Palm Beach Post, Red Sox are in the lead for Burnett. Apparently they would be willing to give up Arroyo and Anibal Sanchez. I think that's a little much seeing as I think Anibal will be a stud in a couple of years.

    Wickman said he may retire at the end of the year. Not someone we would want to trade top prospects for.

    There are way too many Group 3s on this board, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I like to consider myself a Group 1.5, not a Group 1 like Simmons but not a group 2 either where I fall off the bandwagon. I always believe this team will do well which is why I put myself there.

The left-hander went a season-high 7 2/3 innings and allowed no runs on just four hits. The Rays' shutout win was the first since last August and the first victory for Fossum since June 20. Arroyo looked sluggish in his first start after the break, giving up 10 hits and four earned runs in five innings against the Yankees. Arroyo by and large has been an innings eater of late, going at least seven innings in four of his last six starts. He pitched once against the Devil Rays this season, giving up seven hits and three runs over six innings in a win.
