So I'm flipping through the channels and I see on ESPN that the Marlins-Cubs game is on. So in the pregame intro they mention that Nomar is playing 3rd base today for the first time in his career. It should be interesting to watch, just wanted to alert you all to the Cubs' desperateness
Yeah I was thinking about that today. He may have given up the slight chance he had to be a hall of famer in order to help the Red Sox win the World Series.
The funnier part of this is when they were showing highlights of him on a show I was watching they showed 2 strikeouts of his. Both of Mark Bellhorn. I mean if that's the best highlights you can come up with that's weak. Those K's should have an asterisk next to his name.
Hopefully the Royals will choke for about the 6th time tonight, it seems as if both teams have had the bases loaded almost every inning, but only 6 runs have been scored combined. Both teams deserve to lose tonight.
So much for the one time perfect lineup. Guess who's back

The girl Yankshater knows plays some random girl in the 1st round and if she wins she has to play Sharapova. Her dad gave me lessons once. I feel so famous.
There's an article about Miller in today's Globe. He threw a baseball today and reported no pain. He hopes to throw off a mound in the next couple of days. I expect to see him by September.
You still need an accurate arm though. You see all these guys throwing wild in the game today even with plenty of time to get the guy out (like Long did today). I have rarely seen Manny be inaccurate on his throws this year, and that is a part of defense. He also makes a fair amount of assists on the road as well. My computer is slow as Millar right now though so I can't find the exact number but if I ever find it I'll post it.
If you watch Manny play on a regular basis, you'll notice that he makes as many spectacular defensive plays as his "Manny moments". I feel that the "Manny moments" are shown more because they are often pretty ridiculous and way out of the ordinary. But often when he drops them he is able to recover and throw the guys out at 2nd or 3rd (as he did with Cano earlier this year).
