  1. So does he win a user title, money or both?
  2. No... He only accounted for 1 turnover in that game (2 if you count the meaningless INT at the end) and the reason for the INT was because it was a poor decision to throw the ball there in the first place, it had nothing to do with him being injured.
  3. No I think that's a mistake on his part. Which number did you choose?
  4. It's not Toronto's pick, in fact I think it's Denver's.
  5. I doubt it. It's not like the Pro Bowl where they are there like a week in advance. So I think there gameplans are put the basketball in the hoop and don't do s*** on defense.
  6. Sox may release Petagine to make room for Gonzalez. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2006/02/04/sox_make_gonz225lez_deal_official/
  7. Well the sim league and a fantasy league are 2 totally different things. Last year's Yahoo league didn't work well at all.
  8. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/allan_muir/02/01/inside.nhl/index.html Intriguing article about Tim Thomas and the U.S. Olympic Team. It won't happen as many people already think Ryan Miller should be on the team instead of one of the 3 current goalies but it is an interesting possibility considering the way Thomas has played. Obviously I haven't seen Miller play often but I know YS has so maybe he can give some input on him but Thomas has to be one of the hottest goalies in the NHL right now. Of course this is all hypothetical as I don't think they can replace people unless someone gets injured and I'm sure Miller would get chosen but it is an intriguing what if.
  9. Yeah one of the best non-playoff games I've watched on TV (that and July 1st 04). I remember it was the night before Memorial Day so I got to stay up and watch the Sunday Night game. I also remember Jeff Frye double clutching the last out and almost blowing the game away for the Sox.
  10. May 1 at Fenway.
  11. I agree wholeheartedly.
  12. Yeah I'm waiting until Opening Night to make my predictions.
  13. By true definition of the award I think Kobe deserves it. All those things you said about Paul apply to Kobe as well. He leads his team (not a rookie but this isn't ROY), has very little help around him (don't give me Lamar Odom because David West has very similar stats to Odom). So it comes down to stats and frankly Kobe obviously blows West away in that category.
  14. Haha you were at my house and we were watching that game and we like turned it off at the half and watched like the last 5 minutes. It was a sick game.
  15. Not before matball though.
  16. Oh it will be a shootout. Celtics are one of the best shooting teams in the NBA but among the poorest defensively and I don't think that matches up well with the Suns' fast break offense, but I still think the Suns win by 10+. Remember they didn't have Nash in that game last year.
  17. I think he's been in the Sox organization his entire career and he had a cup of coffee with the Sox in 04.
  18. It is too late to enter. But I know there will be an upcoming contest for all people who missed out on this one.
  19. Congrats on joining the 1000 club.
  20. Well Jurcina has clearly earned more playing time as Slegr is healthy right now but has been a healthy scratch. Hopefully Isbister can return soon but that ankle injury looked serious, so if Isbister doesn't return they can move Green up to the 3rd line and put LaCouture or someone on the 4th line. But my main point is that you can't trade Razor until Hannu comes back. As far as your other question, it'll be tough. I don't expect Thomas to continue playing this superb but I think the last 2 months of the season will be a fight for not only a playoff spot but for the number 1 goalie job. I don't expect the decision to be made as soon as Toivonen comes back.
  21. http://www.basketball-reference.com/labs/comp.cgi?I=jordami01%3AMichael+Jordan&C=bryanko01%3AKobe+Bryant&s=p&t=g&submit=Compare
  22. Well there is no way they are moving him now since Hannu is injured. Anyway before Thomas came along I said that there should be no way the Bruins trade Razor because of 1 bad half season. Hannu is emerging just as Raycroft did last year but what would of happened if Toivonen has a poor season like Raycroft did this year. We would of had no one. But now with Thomas I feel much more confident in trading him. Thomas has proven that he is a good goalie. In Finland, the AHL, and now that he has been given an opportunity in the NHL. So I feel more confident in letting Raycroft go so we can get another forward and build another strong line behind Bergeron/Boyes/Sturm.
  23. Bruins picked up Josh Langfeld off waivers from the Sharks today and lost Craig Anderson to the Blues which is no loss. For the record this morning when I heard he was on waivers I said that we should pick him up. I could be an NHL GM easily
  24. Montreal's really been struggling lately. A sweep should not be asking for too much but I don't want to predict anything. Last time I made a promise regarding these 2 teams was when the Bruins were up 3-1 in the 2004 playoffs. That didn't turn out too well.
  25. Well we weren't really doing him any good in Boston either being behind Varitek who is still signed for 3 more years here.
