  1. You can't discount what Carolina does on defense. The Giants got absolutely nothing against Carolina yesterday and I think we can all agree that the Giants' offense is better than the Bears. I think Delhomme and his offensive line will be expecting the blitz much more than they did in the first game when Delhomme got sacked 9? times. Plus Chicago is much more inexperienced in the playoffs than Carolina. Something which may lead to early jitters and trying to be a little aggressive against Steve Smith which may lead to a big play.
  2. Well in terms of yards per game Tampa Bay is number 1, I prefer to go by points per game and Chicago has nearly a 3 point margin over anyone else in the NFL in that category, so I'd have to say Chicago is the best defensive team. However I think this game will come down to who will perform on offense and it is without a doubt that Carolina has a better offense and I think they will win this game.
  3. Uh Chicago beat Carolina 13-3 on November 20.
  4. Plumpamania and Gertie returning on the same day. Who would of thought.
  5. You are white...
  6. Yeah I know just a little bit of sarcasm on my part.
  7. So far this weekend the more experienced playoff QB has come out on top in each of the 3 games. Something that would seem to bode well for Pittsburgh, but Ben has only started 2 games in the playoffs and he did poorly in each of those games. I don't think that will be factor in this one, but Ben has got to feel the pressure that he may be considered to not be a playoff QB if he does as poor as last year.
  8. Ugh, so I'll be down at least 4 to 3 people. Too bad we couldn't do a straight pick one too .
  9. Texans have already made their mind up that Bush is their man. I think New Orleans will pick Leinart or if they don't Tennessee might trade up to number 2 to secure Young because they are the highest on Young out of all the teams I've heard.
  10. -1 for me
  11. Pure dominance today by Carolina. Clicking on all sides of the ball. I think they looked much better than the Patriots did last night, and I think they will beat Chicago next week. That being said the Giants shouldn't of even bothered showing up today. The missing tackles were awful, Tiki was extremely disappointing as I don't believe he had a run longer than 8 or so. Plaxico had 0 catches, and Eli Manning did nothing but throw it to McCree and Lucas. I expected more from the Giants than this, but I'm sure everyone did.
  12. I guess the Manning family and the playoffs don't really get along.
  13. They can't review it because once the whistle blows all players are supposed to stop, so they can't give Carolina the football because they recovered the football after the whistle blew. That case wasn't a really good example of why it's not reviewable, but there are other examples such as where the whistle blew and players were just standing around because they heard a whistle and didn't go after the football.
  14. Yeah I'm 0-2. Oh well.
  15. Ben Watson is a f***ing beast.
  16. Yeah I think it will be much closer than everyone thinks as evidenced by the first drives of each team.
  17. Just wait until what happens when he hit's a walkoff homer. Snow Day, Snow Storm etc.
  18. I would think that we would just throw the game out, but that just increases the chance of people having the same record. It's up to SFoC.
  19. I know but I'm stating my position against future posters who will claim that he will be a 1st rounder.
  20. He won't go in the 1st round because of all that s*** plus he never really got the chance to prove himself as a big time QB and he sucked when it mattered the most against Miami and FSU this year. Plus with Leinart and possibly Young in the draft along with probably a couple other QB's better than Vick, all of them will go before him.
  21. 1/7 4:30 ET.............. At Tampa Bay............. -2.5................. Washington 1/7 8:00 ET.............. At New England............ -8...................Jacksonville 1/8 1:00 ET.............. At NY Giants.................-2.5.................Carolina 1/8 4:30 ET.............. Pittsburgh.................... -3...................At Cincinnati
  22. Correct.
  23. I don't think I really have a preference of which one to pick. I guess I would want the one that has the least chance of ending in a tie and not being decided by points in the Super Bowl.
  24. Here is a link to the thread we did last year. http://www.talksox.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2702 The square apparently isn't showing up but RSR computerized it so he may have had a way to find a faster way to do it. This could be done in addition to your contest(s).
  25. We did a contest like that last year RSR made a chart and I believe assigned the numbers randomly.
