Dom Capers didn't lose his starting QB to injury early into the season.

That's quite a shock. Who would have ever expected them to fire him after going 2-14.

Oh I was under the impression Red Ruffing picked a low score since they put that stat up that it's historically been low scoring. I guess I should of actually took a gander at what number they picked.

I'm better at straight picks than the spread I've always maintained that. There's a reason why I've won straight picks all 3 weeks and I'm looking to make it 4.

So if it's either a Pats win or a high scoring game I pretty much get the 25 bucks sounds good to me.

I was surprised that they didn't have one for Beckett but I don't think any of the other players we acquired were really worthy of that kind of treatment.

I think it's too early to start speculating about what our lineup will be. Once we have all the positions filled, I'll give you a starting lineup.

They had Varitek and Nixon behind them last year and put up huge numbers. That's not going to be different this year.

I still don't think scoring runs will be a problem. We lost 3 guys from our starting lineup last year. We still have Manny, Ortiz, Varitek, Lowell (who I think has the opportunity for 20 HR's and 85 RBIs in Fenway) and Nixon. All very good run producers. Loretta and Graffanino are also solid guys to insert into the lineup as well. Despite the loss of Damon I don't think we will have problems scoring runs.

Well if we lose an SP like Clement/Arroyo while we acquire a SS/OF there will be a gap at the bottom of the rotation. My hopes are is we have Millwood for 3 years max at the bottom of the rotation, we trade Clement or Arroyo for a Reed or Crisp or someone like that. Sign Pokey or Alex Gonzalez cheap for 1 year and perhaps go after someone next year.

Wang has now been "seen" as well. Both teams have question marks which is what you can say about any rotation in the big leagues. I'm sure someone could spin the Royals rotation to be the best rotation in the bigs if someone truly tried.

You mention Pavano and Chacon yet Clement and Arroyo get question marks? That makes no sense whatsoever.

If all you're going to do is be a tool, I can guarantee you your stay here will be very short.

Yes I agree with you, I think I said it wrong though. Yeah I'd be all for trading Wells, but if Wells doesn't get Gonzalez then another non key part I just don't want to fill one gap but in the process open up another gap.

I don't think Snow is a capable starting 1B these days, he has a good glove but he's 37 and on the decline. If we can somehow get Gonzalez for Wells or another part which isn't as valuable I'd be for it. I'm more concerned with shoring up the middle of our team right now (SS CF).
