    I think it was 1990, Seattle at Boston. Carlos Quintana won the game in extra innings with a double down the left field line. It was raining and there were not a lot of people left.

    The word is that he didn't. The Yanks flashed the cash and Damon almost s*** himself. I don't think he ever thought he'd be offered that much so he grabbed it. Good for him. And the Sox got the man they wanted (for a while) to replace him. So it's all good.
