    Well, for one it can't be a pitcher. So the likes of Schilling, Wake and Beckett are out. Wells?? (kidding) You get the feeling Crisp will step up. Lowell, Loretta and Nixon are the old seasoned "pros". Manny, Ortiz and Tek don't want to be cheerleaders. Yeah, I think the clubhouse clown may be Crisp, maybe even Youk, but the veteran guys will own the team.

    One good thing so far about the yankee broadcast is that they showed video of Posada trying to catch a ball with his nose during BP. That's why he's not playing. It looked broken, but with that beak you never know. :dunno:

    I'll for some reason always remember him for his performance in NY late in 2003. I can't remember if it was the playoffs or not, but it was like the first time I thought "where the hell did this (stuff) come from? And what the hell is his name?" It was like his 3rd appearance or so. I want to say it was in relief of Pedro... Totally shut down the Yanks in the Stadium, with the crowd coming down, out of nowhere - and we won the game. Damn, I want to say it was in August.

    36 quality starts in the last two years is more than any other pitcher on the Sox. You can say he was "league average", you can say he was a fifth starter, whatever. Just don't say he sucked. If the last 3 years were his prime, then he gave that to Boston. Leave him alone. Go feast on Damon.
