  1. Well, he's here to stay, you bastar*, ****suckers. Long live Manny!
  2. Not to take away from Paps, but what did you guys also think about Manny Delcarman the other night? I may have been a tad drunk at the time, but there was something that reminded me of pedro in him. He looked like he had great stuff. I like this prospect thing.
  3. Second year it's on a Sunday too I think.
  4. Oh yeah. Everybody on the Yes board is already drooling over the thought of him going to the Mets forum.
  5. I was shocked too. Oh, and they forgot to give me my hashbrowns... Johnny from Burger King OWNS Johnny from McDonalds any day.
  6. Today is going to suck for me. It already has. Someone broke into my car last night and stole the radio. There was eggshell in the egg on my McMuffin. ewwwwwwh Manny's out of the lineup today Sox will probably lose Manny will probably be traded Today = :thumbdown
  7. It's not ALL the fans, but the media does whip the stupid ones up - see the typical moron who calls WEEI for example. I heard some guy on there saying he wants Schilling traded. Why? Because Schiling "is a know-it-all." People are just dumb.
  8. Good. I'm all for trading him for equal value, but there is none right now. Get pitching if anything.
  9. Francona just said it on NESN. Papelbon to start tomorrow's game.
  10. Ortiz walks for the 4th time tonight. Woohoo, Manny's a cancer!
  11. Hey, WOW. Ortiz walks again! Woohoo!
  12. See? This is what I was talking about. Our lineup, though missing only 1 person, looks half as powerful as it used to. Behind Ortiz, Olderdude and Millar??? At least put Tek up there.
  13. Manny taken out of the lineup???
  14. Minnesota (54-48) at Boston (57-45), 7:05 pm EDT http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6751.jpghttp://www.giantsequoia.com/assets/TransparentSpacer.gifhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/4057.jpg Kyle Lohse http://www.public.iastate.edu/~aslagell/sumr212/spacer.gif David Wells 7-9, 4.45 ERA http://www.public.iastate.edu/~aslagell/sumr212/spacer.gif8-5, 4.57 BOSTON (Ticker) -- In the opener of a three-game series between the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox , one team lost a star outfielder and the other threatened to trade one. The teams may have altered lineups when they resume the weekend series Saturday at Fenway Park. While rumors swirled around Boston left fielder Manny Ramirez and a proposed trade to the New York Mets , Minnesota saw center fielder Torii Hunter suffer a sprained tendon in his left ankle that will keep him out up to six weeks. Behind 7 1/3 effective innings by Bronson Arroyo and John Olerud 's grand slam, the Red Sox posted an 8-5 win in Friday's series opener. It was Boston's third straight win and Minnesota's sixth loss in eight games. The Twins turn to Kyle Lohse (7-9, 4.45 ERA) on Saturday. Lohse has lost his last three decisions, yielding 21 hits in 11 2/3 innings over his last two starts. The 26-year-old righthander is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in four career starts against Boston. Lohse will be opposed by David Wells (8-5, 4.57), who has dominated the Twins in his career. In 36 games and 23 starts against Minnesota, Wells is 18-6 with a 2.26 ERA. The 42-year-old lefthander gave up three runs in 6 1/3 innings in Monday's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay, missing out on a chance to win his third straight.
