  1. Not the way he's been pitching since he's been back. He was on before he was taken out. We're not going to win 1-0 anyway, we need to score.
  2. Yes, more good news for the Yankees. It's all comin' together.
  3. Everything came yesterday, good stuff. Again, thank you.
  4. So you are confident that an NFL legend, with few signs of decline will fall apart this year for no reason, and are also confident that a team starting a rookie QB that has been the perennial whipping boy of the league will take a playoff spot. At least you are going out on a limb.
  5. He'd fit real well with the Jets, but I don't think they'll make a run at him. Spent too much money to keep Chrebet on the team to move him to a 4 receiver.
  6. Jason Giambi had a bad August, and was at .250 with 6 homers and 18 RBIs. Millar's entire season has been terrible. I agree with people saying they can't stand his attitude, I think he's a real f***ing jackass (Tom Brady of baseball? Brady is going to go down right next to Joe Montana in the history books. Millar will be a footnote on the '04 Series highlights). However, if he's on your team you have to be pulling for him to come around.
  7. I believe Matsui and Sheffield are both free agents this year.
  8. I say 9 K's for Felix. Yankees win 4-2.
  9. He gets one start pushed back a couple of days. The suspension is fine.
  10. So am I now a moderate Yankee fan by comparison? I've read some of your stuff, should be fun down the stretch. The Pedro thing kind of loses it's luster now that he's a Met, no?
  11. Find a post where I said that. I never said I hope they're hurt. I think that they have nothing for this year, that's my opinion but I'm not hoping injury on someone. Funny, you didn't say "I HOPE THE YANKEES DO BAD" you said "I HOPE THIS INJURY LINGERS THE REST OF THE YEAR". Subtle difference? This is the definition of classless punk. It seems there are only two trains of thought for you to say that. One, you think the Yankees are a huge threat to Boston with Mussina. Or two, you have a personal vendetta against Mike Mussina. So either grow some balls and show some confidence in your team, or grow up and stop wishing harm on one of the classiest guys in the game. I never said I wanted Schill and Foulke to be hurt, and I would never say "I hope this lingers the rest of the year". If you can't beat the best team we put out there, then what merit do you have? I have NEVER wished injury on a player, especially for selfish reasons like helping my team win. I did want Schilling to get healthy, which is why I recommended that they should have kept him rehabbing to get back into the rotation in Triple A, instead of that stupid closer assignment. If you are honestly relying on an injury to beat the Yankees this year, Boston must be much worse than their 2.5 game lead indicates.
  12. He was hardly another team's 'trash', but he seems to be the exception to the rule this year. Leiter was trash and he's turned in solid performances more often than not (6 innings, 2 hits the other day?), Chacon has been our best pitcher, a godsend along with Aaron Small. So far so good with Matt Lawton too. Again, what is the harm? If Bellhorn sucks, he won't play. If he produces, he's an asset.
  13. ********. He got cheered when he came to the Stadium as a Padre. He's been in the rivalry long enough, he should know what he was getting into. He was there when the Zim/Pedro thing went down and he knows how passionate the rivalry is. No reason for him to bitch and moan about the fans betraying him. He signs anywhere else, and we've got no problem. He went and gave the finger to NY by choosing to play in Boston, and he deserves what he gets. I'm not saying I hate Boomer, I love his attitude and the way he plays the game. But while he's got that uniform on, f*** him.
  14. It's not that hard, really. They will finish last, being that they're the 4th best team in the division. The Packers, Vikings and Lions are all better. Vikes got pretty damn good on defense, and still have Culpepper to lead the offense, the Lions are the sleeper team of the NFC and the Packers still have Brett Favre and that offense. Bears have got nothing.
  15. I don't see any value in this deal for the Mets. They should swallow their pride and just trade Zambrano.
  16. This isn't a big deal. he wouldn't be on the playoff roster in all likelihood anyway. He's just a guy to have.
  17. Trachsel is a helluva pitcher. Good deal for Boston. I think Trachsel is the best pitcher this side of Pedro on the Mets.
  18. Least we can do. Good stuff man, good stuff. Your intentions I'm sure will be fulfilled.
  19. I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but "Boston Sucks" shirts have been banned since 2002. I did however see a very nice "Buck Foston" shirt when I was out the other day. I really don't care what people wear to the park. Personally, I think it's fun to see people with that stuff, adds to the flavor of the rivalry when you are at the park. But of course, PC rules all.
  20. That's the best post I've ever seen on this site. Good stuff!
  21. Somebody, please try to defend this comment. If Kent came out and said "as long as I'm white, I'm fine" he'd be fined, suspended and thrown in Guantanamo Bay. I hate selective equality and double standards when it come to 'racism'. Bradley is an idiot, plain and simple. Kent may be too, but it is blatantly obvious Milt needs to do the same thing Terrell Owens does, shut the hell up and play ball.
