Don't expect to see much of Gasper today with Rodon and Fried starting since they dont play him against lefty pitching.  I'll bet Wong starts the second game since he has best OPS of the catchers versus LHP and he and Rutschman will split catching the games.  Rutschman will come around and while better against RHP - he is serviceable against LHPs.

Thing is Narvaez nor Wong can't hit decently and consistently. Narvaez regressed very badly and the latter can't field well. Adley at full capacity is not only one of the better catchers of the game but an above average hitter who gets on base often. 

Said that, IMHO this is not our year though, It's the next and moving forward. Actually the WS window finally will be open next year for us. When Roman and Crochet are fully healthy. When they call up Arias and probably Campbell as well. With this guy Mead. When Durbin hits consistently all year long. When Houk and Crawford are back, and who knows, they probably sign a star or two to round the core.

For instance, I'm just enjoying the ride this year while expecting nothing.

Good thing that ball caught Bennett, though as hard as it was hit might have hung up enough to give Cedanne a shot at catching it.

The recent issue has been coming up with 2 outs, men on  and easy flyballs.

Meanwhile Mona makes 2 great plays at SS to help  Bennett

I'm not thrilled about Story returning, but Mono is making a weak case of staying at short.

Without Judge in the lineup the Yankems may be one of the weakest offenses against LH pitching.

We've had a few fortuitous stretches from our SS depth chart. Maybe's Mono's has run its course.

I'd go with Sogard at SS and Seigler/Story at 2B, but it will end up being Story at SS and Siegler/Sogard at 2B.

Yankees particularly weak against LHP with Judge out - so Sandoval and Bennet are perfect.  Judge and Goldschmidt are the 2 guys in their lineup who crush LHP with both over 940 OPS against LHP - Judge is out and Goldschmidt won the game for them yesterday. Ben Rice neutered by LHP but hits righties hard - look out for him against Bello but watch Goldschmidt sit.
