To suggest there is no reason to extend young and very promising players is what I am addressing.

Many said the same thing we hear about Bello about Ceddanne, too. Not much talk on him, anymore.

i'm not against the concept. i just think they seriously jumped the gun on Raf, RA and Bello.

I'm okay with the term "jumping the gun," but can you agree that there is a reason for doing it?

It might be flimsy. You might disagree, but if these guys do well, it's a good idea and has merit.

We've seen what happens when we wait it out and then try to sign a guy after he becomes a star. That strategy has been a failure, too.

Sure, we both agree the solution is for JH to just pay the stars, but when that ain't happening, what's a GM to do?
