2b has been the last position they've worried about filling every season. They don't care about it.

It was supposed to be Bregman.  But Im fine with having holes.  And leaving some internal guys to fight it out.  But thats for the bottom half of your hitting lineup, and its prob fine as long as you are solid 1-5.

Could we see this?

3B: Mayer vs RHPs/ Sogard or Eaton vs LHPs

2B: DHam or Sogard vs RHPs/ Romy vs LHPs.

I'm not so sure they worry about Romy's arm at 3B, but playing only 12 innings at 3B, last year, when Breggie missed a lot of time is sort of telling.

You could see this; I could barely watch it --  another powerhouse starting lineup... (but I like all those guys on the roster).

And amidst a lot of Campbell posts this weekend, I never saw one that revealed one of the main reasons he was handed a starting job out of ST: he bats right-handed. Breslow even said a year ago one of his priorities was to find a way to balance the batting order with more righty swingers...

... it worked great for a few weeks, until MLB pitchers "wrote the texts and tweets" about him;

before instantaneous communiques, it used to take a lot longer for leagues to figure out a rookie's weaknesses, back when they actually "wrote the book" (cutting down trees, logging/hauling/delivering to processing locales, pulping into paper, packing, shipping to stores, typing, editing, printing, bookbinding, distributing, studying etc.)

That's his ceiling, not the actual expectation for him.

He hit 709 at GRE and 685 at POR last season. For a guy whose hit tool is the biggest tool, he has a long way to go.

They have his ETA as mid '27, but Witherspoon's ETA as early '28. Somehow, I think Witherspoon gets to BOS first.

I watched arias a lot at Greenville. His glove is much more advanced than his bat!
think rafeala clone in the field and at the plate, with more walks

I'm okay with going light somewhere or (gasp!) actually suggest a platoon, but only if we make major gains with a top bat plus another decent one of better.

Returning Bregman is nice, but it's sideways. We need a better bat or Breggie plus a better bat.
