Finally a break. Duran runs like thief caught stealing lol

He can't hit lefties but he is definitely a crowd pleaser.

How about lately?

August we are the best of this group

5 BOS out of 97

6 NYY out of 108

7 KCR out of 120

8 SEA out of 124

10 TOR out of 118

12 HOU out of 130

Max, I've agreed that our defense has greatly improved, and I felt that way since last winter.

I'm not sure why the massive amount of unearned runs, earlier this season occurred, but it did.

We might have 3-4 more wins had our unearned runs and extra outs not happened, so much.

I still trade him for Ryan.

Me, too. Plus Clarke or Early.

I think MIN would prefer Abreu, which I would do, too.

Hope I'm wrong, but here's my prediction. Yankems win AL East and Toronto and Seattle win WC's.

Aren’t there three WCs?

Cora has to stop pedaling Yoshida out there.   He is what he is, an inconsistent hitter who is a defensive liability with no speed or throwing ability.  Enough of him taking up a spot in the lineup

Yes. Right now, it's SEA vs KC w SEA up 2.

Sox are up 4.5 on KCR and 5 on TEX. (5.5 on CLE)

Doesn’t mean Cora has to play him.  He’s la liability.

He has options, so Brez could park him in AAA and take Cora's choice away.

Fair enough.  😊

Yes, my brain fart has now put the Sox in the PO's. But I still predict the Yankems will finish 1st in the AL East.

It would take a monumental collapse for the Sox not to get in

Good news is Detroit is up 4-0 vs Kansas City in the 5th.

I'm just worried about getting into the playoffs.

We are stuck with him. He’s untradeable

Yoshida still hits righties better than Ref or Hamilton.  My guess is this will change when Abreu returns, should he ever return.  It seems he has the tightest calf muscle in the history of medical science.

It appears Giolito will eclipse the 140 innings pitched marker. His option becomes $19M for 2026.

It remains to be seen he'll turn FA thinking he can get a multi year deal.

His fate maybe in the arm of Tolle.

I've been saying this for over a month.

While I do think he could hit .770 or better, how long of a leash does he get?

Here are some of the longest leashes we've seen this season:

255 PAs Story at .598 (Glad he stuck with this one! Kinda had to.)

230 PAs Campbell at .577

185 PAs Toro at .509 (127 PAs Toro at .481)

168 PAs DHam at .573 (whole season, but .800 over last 45 PAs)

160 PAs Rafaela at .563 (recently)

159 PAs Wong at .484 (.642 last 64, .685 last 43, .729 last 29, .777 last 21)

136 PAs Mayer at .674 (kinda had to play him when Bregman out)

119 PAs Rafaela at .586 (early in '25)

116 PAs Yoshida at .584

112 PAs Casas at .580 (up to injury)

Most Sox injuries go from day-to-day to month-to-month.

Lower calf sprains take a long time to heal
