Mayer has had recurrent wrist problems. I wonder what is wrong there. Is it something fixable with surgery or is it going to be problem permanently.

Utility player?  He has the highest OPS on the team, at least temporarily--.910.  Grissom is competing with Gonzalez because both play 2b and both are righty bats.

The Sox runs scored are 4th best in MLB.  Ditto their OPS.  And Story is having his best season ever for the Sox.

And Story STILL struck out on a ball a foot outside. And the Flops STILL have the fourth highest chase rate in baseball. 
Imagine how much better they could be if they were just average in Chase rate….

Looks like Brez got himself a genuine thrower with no control nor command.   I can appreciate May has to acclimatize himself to actually pitching in the big leagues after that stint in LaLa land , but basically he  doesn't have an out pitch to bail himself out.
