My thoughts on this game:

1. Crochet needs to be a stopper, letting your first pitch go into the stands is BRUTAL

2. The offense loves weak fly balls the least exciting play in baseball

3. I can't stand all the called third strikes

4. The home plate ump was annoying with missed calls and holding the game up to fill out his book (when was the last time a homeplate ump took time out of the game to fill out pinch hitters, most umps get that done seamlessly)

Crochet is not the problem.

With all due respect to all the nay sayers content with leaving Anthony in the minors should think what this is doing to Anthony.

Do you think he wants to be a Red Sox? No freakin' way he's signing extension. Many here think the outfield is just fine. And maybe it is but you're ignoring the fact that it can be better. The odd man out can play another position (eg Rafaela) or be traded to acquire additional pitching help.

Our lineup overall is pathetic. You can't recoup sunken costs. We made a big mistake acquiring both Yoshida and Story. Why is Story in a slump? Well hell, he wasted his prime years injured. He's unable to recover what little magic he has left in his bat.

If I'm Anthony, I'm stewing playing AAA while my buddies are getting promotion.

Cora and Brez are worried about hurting the feelings of grown up such as Devers, Story, etc.

They should be more concerned about Anthony. Quit telling us why you can't bring up Anthony. What's going to change? Are you seriously hoping that an outfielder gets hurt as one of the options as your plan going forward?

If you can't find a way to bring up Anthony, then the organization is more incompetent that I ever imagined.

Why don't you use your stinking analysists to find a way to bring up Anthony. Hell he's in everyone's top 3 prospects in the majors.

Very disappointing.

We don't know how Anthony will perform once he's called up.  He wouldn't be the first player to tear it up in the minors only to struggle in the major leagues.

The problem with DFAing current players, beyond eating their contracts, is that it really cuts into our depth.  If a trade comes along that makes sense, I'd be more open to that idea but it could still cut into our position player depth.  Everything seems good until an injury happens.

Crochet might be one of those snake bit, hard luck guys. Not to re-open the importance or lack of importance of wins, but while he has excellent stuff, he is 4-4 this year and 13-23 for his career. Hopefully this will change before he gets injured again.

Anthony seems like the real deal. Of course, he might struggle when promoted, but the team needs to find out. They have been treading water for too long. He could provide the needed spark.

He'll most certainly struggle at some point. However, there's no reason to hold him down at this point. They are floundering and don't look to be holding onto any playoff push. May as well play the kids and work on the future.

The entire team appears to be snake bit right now.  They are finding ways to lose.

I am sure Anthony is the real deal.  He'll go through his growing pains, as Campbell is doing now, but he seems like he's going to be a great player.

I'm just saying that I don't think he's the instant solution to this team's woes that some people think he is.  Maybe he'll provide a spark, maybe he won't.  I understand that Mayer was called up under slightly different circumstances, and replacing Bregman's production is a tall order, but Mayer has created zero spark so far.

If the FO is throwing the towel in for this season, by all means, call up the kids and let them play.  Let them make their mistakes and learn on the fly.
