See what Giolito has today.

I'm discounting his last outing. It was horrible weather condition. Yeah, I know it was the same for both teams but that was a football weather. Too wet for him to grip the ball properly.

Yep, I'm making excuses for him.

I'm excited for our pitching depth. (as of 12/31)

26 year olds, Fitts, Dobbins, Crochet and Bello.

29 year olds, Touck, Crawford and Sandoval

31 year olds, Buehler and Giolito

If only Duran would accept ball 4 on all his 3-2 counts his impact on the game would increase by 25%.

Rafaela swings at the first pitch more than anyone else in the majors. Almost three times as many as Bregman.

He goes after after an outside pitch out of the strike zone.

The kid just can't control himself.

He’s actually improved a lot and is the least of my worries. He hits 9th and no matter what is giving you elite defense

Even this season alone, he hits 9th and contributes enough offensively with his elite defense that he has a 1.6 WAR. He is a very good player. Will he be frustrating on offense sometimes? Sure. But he’s a bottom of the order bat and still contributes while giving us elite defense and elite base running when he gets on.

Hes also still just 24.

3 earned runs after 6 is determined as a quality start even though that calculates to a 4.50 ERA. Interesting.

5.2 innings with 0 runs is not a quality start. Baseball is weird

I think just for laughs, Devers should play catch in Detroit with a first baseman's mitt. 200.gif

Well, I was very pleased when they extended him.

I still think it’ll end up a good move. His defense alone holds a lot of value.
