I'm glad I wasn't the only one noticing Duran's propensity for K'ing in the 1st. It's almost expected at this point.

One has to wonder if last night's loss, especially the way the SOX lost, won't affect this game. I mean the SOX offense may be getting frustrated not being able to outscore their own pitching.

3rd inning, is this Pivetta time ? His overall control is not great and his breaking pitchers rarely are close enough to entice weak swings. As much as the Sox need pitching, it would take 2 TUMS to get excited about signing him to a significant contract.

I was slightly wrong but I said he would not get another hit all remaining season. Hope that is not close to accurate but maybe he needs to drop off the leadoff spot.

Agreed. He has had a much longer stretch of hitting well, than not, and pitchers have adjusted to him, and still can't figure him out.
