Ugly swing at that one Kiddo!

Yeah, he was getting a little better at pitch recognition for a while, but the last few games he’s reverted to earlier form a bit.

Very hard to watch O'Neill, Gonzalez and the Chaser with Devers on 3rd, no outs and Rodon on the ropes. But 2 solo HR's should be considered a win, I guess

At least Romy hit the ball, there’s always a chance if you put it in play. O’Neill and Rafaela weren’t even competitive.

If the SOX lose tonight, the FO still has until 6PM Tuesday to sell Kenley and O'Neill. There's no way to fix the pitching problems on this team, so this is the best time to get the most for those two.

Even if they win, that might be a good idea.

The more I see of O'Neill lately, the more I think he's ready to move on. His misplays seem to me to be semi-intentional because above all he wants to avoid getting injured and will take extra precautions to do so. His 21 dingers and .919 OPS and age 29 say he is a hot prospect almost anyone would want. All he has to do is stay healthy and get 1-2 dingers per week.

They already added two players. Their delusional thinking is making them believe they are contenders. It’s a mistake.

Still somewhat surprised he got paid so early in his career. Bello at least had some MLB experience and could become a valuable pitcher. Rafaela has huge potential, but needs experience and a sense of where the ball is going after leaving the pitcher's hand.

The worry would be that he thinks he is Devers Jr.

All this negativity from you Max 😉

Houck walks the #9 hitter

More runs are on the way

The hammer is about to fall

Cora is smart enough to know that even a tired Houck is better than what's in the BP.

After the last 9 days, there’s not much left out there anyway.

Well thank you Max! That’s very kind of you.

I know. Shame on me when the Sox are desperate for good righty bats, which O'Neill in fact has. But that play on that double down the line sticks in my craw. He also quit completely on that shot off the green monster. And tonight he was pretty casual about that single to right field, which led to an unearned run.

I just think there's a pattern--one that is unlike just about every other lineup player on the team.

They had a beautiful afternoon to play this game, but because baseball(like everything else) is all about money, they played it at night knowing there was rain in the forecast.

ESPN, stick to what you do best, which is practically nothing, and FOX, stick to bad TV shows.

Game is winnable . Don’t let it slip by

Agree completely.

And guess what, sports fans? Houck has just pitched a quality start: 6 IP, 3 ER's.

The trade deadline is 6 PM on Tuesday.

And no one is more aware of that than O'Neill, who clearly wants to leave Boston. The signs are, if anything, too obvious.

Rodon has pitched left-handed. That's all he has to do to beat SOX.

They have hit lefties, including Blach for 6 runs 5 days ago.
