Crawford needs to stop the bleeding.

The bats seem to be waking up, a little as the staff falters a bit.

We need to put it all together.

Go SOX!

The SOX have hit 46 HR's so far this season. I've checked the internet and haven't been able to find how many of those have been solo jobs.

If anyone here has the number of solo HR's, I'd be interested in knowing.

keep wishing for the miracle. They should win this weekend.

The Rays were not playing very well, when we faced them. Neither were the Cards. There is no saying "We lost to some good teams" on these recent losses.

These are games we needed to win.

These are games we need to win.

Tonight is a game we need to win.

15 HRs with Men on Base (777 PAs)

0 Grand Slams

3 Three Run HRs

.391 SLG Men on Base

.411 SLG bases empty (pretty close)

The team has a .718 OPS

.702 Men on Base

.678 RISP, but .777 RISP w 2 outs

Here has been the killer:

.862 Refsnyder

Then...

.635 Devers (100 points higher than the team aaverage)

.595 Valdez (in AAA)

.567 McGuire

.483 Wong (the biggest differential between overall and High Leverage)

.469 Rafaela (most PAs in High Leverage)

.095 Abreu (not a typo!) 6th in PAs in HL

Others not in the top 9 in PAs in HL:

.808 Smith

.500 DHam

.462 Yoshida

.382 Cooper

.333 Romy

Thanks again, MOON. You the man. 31 solo shots; I'd have guessed more.

Baltimore DFAd Mike Baumann?

Go get ‘im Breslow!!

I believe the SOX FO thinks DFA means Desirable Free Agents.

As a SOX fan I believe DFA stands for Dumpster Fire Acquisitions.

Two Wongs would make this a better team.

Btw, Devers now batting .180 with RISP. Isn't that special?

To me Devers latest at bat defines this lineup this season. Two men on (1st and 3d), he's facing a righty pitcher, and the 7th pitch he sees is a fast ball in the geometric freaking center of the strike zone, and he swings and misses.

I don't want to be told about his 3 dingers when all of them were with no one on base.

Next up for Devers is an error to bring in one or more unearned runs.

This is his 8th freaking MLB season with the Sox, and it's hard to see a real improvement.

The SOX FO circling around DFA's like vultures.

I think they’re not active enough.

They did get Garrett Cooper, but passed on Deivi Garcia and Roansy Contreras. Baumann is a surprising DFA here. He’s pitching well, but Baltimore had no one with options. Baumann will definitely get claimed, so hopefully Breslow can make a deal first…

But wouldn't necessarily make things right.

I have a fear all things are coming back to reality. I think for a while as fans of this team- we were experiencing the pretty girl across the room looking deep into our eyes and waving at us...... the past couple weeks we are realizing she was looking at another guy standing right behind us. Well heck- it felt good while it lasted.

If the rotation starts giving up more runs, one good reason might be that the lineup has, for most of the season, sabotaged the pitching with their lousy defense and failure to score runs.

The lineup stinks, and the lead stinker is Devers.

Just be patient, Max. Those HS draftees will turn this shite, er, I mean ship around.

In a 1-0 game, that dinger by Rafael Devers is huge. Typical that he golfed it out of there.

Ok, so raffy does get another HRT, this time at a meaningful point in the game, now 1-1. The pitch was So-Lo and so was the HR.
