Economical inning for Bello.

He's at 4.19 ERA, now.

He was at 4.06 after first 4 starts of 2023. Maybe this is who he is, which is not bad, but not number 2 material at that rate.

I think he can and will improve over the next few years. Is a number 2 his ceiling or his expectation? I'd say yes and now. Maybe a solid #3 is a good expectation.

Sox now have 3 different individuals make errors while playing 3rd base. No harm, no foul due to the DP, but not an encouraging trend for a team emphasizing defense to its fan base going into ST.

I doubt anyone trusts what the SOX organization says anymore.

To speed the game up even more, Bobby D should start off with a 1-2 count when he comes to the plate.

Bobby D is OK with me. O for the season and 60% K's

Bello is nothing but a No. 3 pitcher whose potential is at No. 2. While the latter is not a bad thing at all putting Pedro labels on him is simply ridiculous.

Yoshi may be waking up due to the critics from this website. If he can power up a bit it would certainly help his trade value

Who put a Pedro label on him?

That AB by Rafaela shows little maturing of his plate approach . 2-0 count vs Suarez who cannot throw strikes and he swings at a ball inside off the plate generating a weak pop to SS. This kid is confused.

It's more like constant references to personal links and tutelage with Pedro. The skill levels do not match up as well as the mentorship by Martinez

Some Boston writers early last season were calling him Pedro, Jr. I think it came up when Pedro was working with Bello.

Physically, he does resemble Pedro, but as far as throwing a baseball, no.

Did anyone mention Bello and Pedro as being near equal in skills?

He sure is. He's now on pace for a whopping 30 extra base hits for the year
