Pitching coaches and hitting coaches are overatted. Very few in the game probably know what they are doing.

A player is who he is. If hitting coaches and pitching coaches were that useful, every team would all be hitting well and pitching well. You're either born to play or you're not. Plain and simple. You can give me the best hitting coach in the game and I would have probably never made the MLB

All is not lost if the Red Sox win tomorrow and then get 2 of 3 in D.C. That will be 7 of 10 , though against lower level competition. The 13 following games with Yankees (3), an inferior team , then 4 with Astros, 3 with Dodgers, and 3 again with Houston will definitively set the conclusion of this season . They will either still be peeking into the PO tent or be so far in the dust that the cries for Chaim's head will be resounding, or Cora's or Sale's or still yet Kike's. Edited by vegasbob

I felt we need to go 8-2 in these 10 games vs the weaker teams. That would take a 4 game winning streak. I guess 7-3 would be okay.

I still like our chances vs the tougher teams, afterwards, but that will be the defining task.

On calling for Bloom's head: I doubt he gets fired, no matter what. JH might be the only guy agreeing with that.

Difficult to win with an anemic offense. Good that Turner is back but we need mire from others.

The SOX have been getting plenty of 'mire' from others.

Devers is not doing the job of late driving in runs. He has a pitiful 3 RBIs in his last 15 games

Not just Devers, but pretty much a team malaise. Over the last 15 games they have scored an average of 3.28 runs per game, and that includes some unearned runs like the one last night.
