I hope so, can't win every year but you can put a decent product on the field for enjoyable baseball, we do not have that now, it is reflecting with a lot of players who have no desire,

Who has no desire, exactly.

I am not trying to claim having the 8th best AL record negates the losing record.

I do think it would be a small accomplishment. If you don't, fine.

I’d rather lose every remaining game to improve our draft position

At most, we can improve 1 maybe 2 slots.

Remember there is a new draft lottery for next year. The first 6 picks are from the lottery, and then it’s record after that. The team with the worst record could get the 7th pick.

So, not moving down one more slot gives us a .002 chance vs .001?

Not really sure moving up or down makes much difference at all anyway. This isn’t the NBA…

Yes, I know, whether we are the 16th worst team or the 17th.

The worse record you have the somewhat better chance you have, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

It’s been a lost losing season, so you might as well get something good out of it.

We won't, either way.

I like to see our team win. I'd feel a little better knowing we only had 7 AL teams worse than us than 8 or 9.

I don't think this team is as bad as its record indicates, so I'm hoping the record improves before the season ends. With all the injuries, and I know we are not the most injured team in MLB, I'd think finishing 8th in the AL would not be horrible.

Just my opinion.

If we do loe out the remainder of the year and move down one slot, and somehow a miracle gives us a top 6 pick, I'll be glad I was wrong.

We are currently 18th in MLB winning % with 7 games to go. It's not likely we move to 17 or 19, but it's possible we move to 16th or 20th:

76-79 CWS

76-79 MN

74-81 BOS

72-84 AZ

69-86 CHC & LAA

We are 10th in the AL (9 teams better and 5 worse)

We could get to 8th or T8th by catching CWS and MN.
