Kutter Crawford Vs Brad Keller

Keller has an ERA approaching 5 and had an ERA over 5 last season. This likely means he pitches 7 shut out innings today

It goes back to yesterday's loss when we scored 3 of the 4 runs on 2 swings by Dalbec and Verdugo. #1,2,3 and 9 in that lineup contributed an OH for 16 with 6 K's. The next 3 hitters (Dugo, JDM, Arroyo) were 6 for 13 with no one on base in front of them.

I'm guessing Hosmer and McGuire will be in today's steam oven of a stadium. Plawecki needs a rest. He made contact all four times and had to run a little, but it was only rollers and warning track flyballs.

Plawecki should be released so he can get all the rest he needs

Hosmer's approach at bat and ability to work the pitcher reminds me of when Sox hitters up and down the lineup had that approach.

It’s nice to see after watching Franchy all season

For all the talk of Bloom, Cora, JH , etc, maybe there should be some focus on the farm system coaching/managing . The guys who have come up in the last 2 years either don't have the talent or haven't been well developed in the fundamentals of baseball

It wasn't really the farm hands (except Dalbec and Duran) that made most of the blunders on D and basepaths. It was the vets.

Although Whitlock was not developed by our farm, he was a prospect when promoted.

Houck has done well.

Dalbec did okay, to start.

Wong has done okay at back-up catcher.

Wink and Crawford have done well. Danish, Okay.

JDavis has been ok in limited playing time

Seems to be a lost or no longer wanted talent. See the Royals who mostly can't even catch a baseball nor throw it. I thought Melendez worst fielding issue was catching the ball until I saw him lollypop that throw from LF the other day and that was from short LF. MY GOODNESS!!!

Davis and danish also aren’t Sox prospects. They’re AAAA players who’ve been with numerous teams.

This Red Sox team is a total embarrassment to all prior Red Sox teams, inculding Valentine's team. KC is a triple A team but so is the Red Sox.

Nothing is comparable to the Valentine team

Well, they do lead MLB in least bang for the buck.

Wow...I can tell the Sox are really up for this game.

Royals coaching staff appears to know how to get Hosmer out. To be expected.

He’s DH

Yea when the Royals took the field I noticed I did not see those tree trunks Sal has for legs in the crouch.

Well, Keller is almost halfway there against the one hit Red Sox. It's been said many times across these threads but this team is simply uninteresting. Therefore many are well into 2023 evaluations out of boredom induced by the current slop.
