Notice how Vazquez hustled the last 30 feet home to avoid not scoring in case Dugo got thrown out at second. That was good thinking

That is something that is taught in Little League. Every MLB player should know to do it every time. Basic fundamental.

Funny how so many MLB players ignore the basic fundamentals. And I'm not just referring to the SOX.

Great K by Bra-man after giving up the key hit to Yelich. Cora's luck on picking the hot hand out of the pen is missing

For sure. Many players have no concept of most of the basic fundamentals of baseball. That is why there are so many mental mistakes made along with sloppy play.

Who do you consider the classiest player to wear a SOX uniform?

I'm going with Ryan Dempster.

Bobby Doerr was an exceptional person beyond the ballpark, and pretty fair on the field too.

Yup, I met him during the YAZ HOF induction. One of the nicest guys one could ever meet. As a player he had the added responsibility of keeping Williams in line.

On and off the field.

I keep saying he's better off keeping the bat on his shoulders. At least he would get a few walks here and there

This is quite true. Cora should tie a string from the end of his bat to his balls and he'll quite swinging at trash pitches soon enough

Bill Buckner because he never complained about the s*** way he was treated by fans and the media and he even came back to Fenway. It was never his fault.

Cora should have PH'd for him, but your idea isn't a bad one.

Bill B came at the end of a string of mental and physical mistakes, and weak pitching that led to the loss. Grabbing that grounder was no assurance of an actual out at 1B.
