Although I would love to see the SOX not lose any more games the rest of the season, I seriously doubt that will happen. Just be happy knowing that they will be in the PO's where anything can happen. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

They gonna get competition for that but this team had to start showing you they can hit good pitching

Losing 6 out the first 8 stinks! Win the next two.

Or not

They just beat Bieber; he's pretty good.

He’s ok but these division games are important in the grand scheme of things. Jays have had their number this year thus far.

I have always believed that the best time for Sox starter to have a bad night is when the Sox bats are silent. Now that the Jays have a commanding lead, the Sox might score, but the fact is Gausman has dominated them.

Seabold has been hittable, but for his 1st start against a pretty good hitting team he hasn't been terrible. Shouldn't give up on him too soon.

He eventually did turn terrible, so forget I posted the above.

For the 3rd time this season. Anyway come back tomorrow hungrier. They will face more good pitching. Gonna find a way and hit them!

I hope Mr Seabold didn't unpack.

That was the idea.

SoxProspects says he has good command of his pitches, but tonight he did not. Most of those solid hits were off pitches near the center of the zone. That last dinger was high in the zone, but the 2d straight pitch in that location, plus it was no 90 mph, not the 93 mph earlier in the game.

How come when Pivetta or Wacha dominate a team with their pitching, we never post how bad the opposing offense is? That's a question for the ages.

Why did Seabold make a start?

Had to be someone brought up and his Worcester stats were good. He simply lost command of his pitches.

He might have been nervous. Coming up from the farm and pitching for the SOX is a whole lot different than pitching for Kansas City, for example.

Is that question connected in any way to the post you cite?

Probably. On the other hand, his first two innings were pretty darn good.

Thank goodness that MLB allows teams to make trades. Can you imagine what the SOX would look like if they could only use pitchers from their farm? Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER
