Will we ever develop a pitcher in the minors? A starter.

I think the last good one was Lester.

Very impressive first inning by seabold. BB on close pitches called balls. Double on a slider down and a good swing. Then he strikes out franchise player Guerrero and this years Jays MVP—with a ground in between. Very rare when a rookie does that in his first game. Cool hand Luke.

Sox hitters meanwhile look like they need their mommies.

Right now it looks like Seabold is the only Sox player focused on winning.

If Vazquez is calling the pitches, he is too.

Supposedly he has good command what his fastball has been? How high in the mph?

93 so far. Reportedly, he has thrown 95 mph.

Interesting top of the 3d after Story pissed in his pants. Dalbec clean single, steals 2b, Duran walks, and up comes our best hitter Devers, who was clearly up there to swing--at all 5 pitches--before grounding out with, wait for it, RISP and 2 outs.

So Gausman is on his game, and Seabold is like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dike.

Whoops, there goes a dinger by Springer, his 14th. 2-0 Jays. Slider up in the zone. Followed by a first pitch single up the middle with one out and Guerrero at the plate.

Dike looks pretty broken. Another dinger to CF of a slider that was way to hittable.

Gausman is too good a pitcher to lose 5 in a row. Hope I'm wrong.

I mean we will face 3 of their best pitchers. If they can’t hit good pitching they’re not going anywhere. You gotta hit good pitchers.

Location is the most important thing with him.

Seabold wasn't drafted by the SOX. The last successful SOX starter that was actually drafted by the SOX was Buchholz.

And tonight, only the 1st inning double was low in the zone. The two dingers were off sliders near the middle of the zone. So the control isn't that great. Also very few if any changeups and curves.

This guy Seabold is not MLB material at all. I don't need to see more. Get his ass out of the mound.

The SOX have been fortunate with Winck. Asking for two effective starters from the farm is a bridge too far.

They need their other starters back pronto. It will be what 6 for the jays in the first 8 games?
