I hope they can take one of the next two.

Can they beat the jays? Right now they have take 5 out of the first 7 matchups. Sick of losing to these guys. These divisional games are important.

Usually I would blame Vazquez's pitch-calling, but not tonight. When Seabold throws what is called for, it works.

Terrible f***ing pitching.

Mostly missing his spots. When he throws what's called for, it works. When he throws sliders near the middle of the zone, he gets hammered for 2 dingers and 3 runs.

Damn, if Seabold had done well tonight, I had planned to refer to him as Sonny. Anyone as old as me would know of which Sonny I'm referring to.

Jurgenson or Fitzsimmons.

Gausman is enjoying himself entirely too much. Devers, JDM, and Bogey are putty in his hands. Also Story, but he would be anyway.

Dugo get Sox 2d hit. Just like Dalbec's, it's with 2 outs.

Up comes Story with a man on. And K's again, but this time on 6 pitches--so, progress.

This is the 3rd time this season Gausman has owned the Sox hitters .

It will be interesting to see over the next few weeks if the Sox hitters can handle the better pitching they will be coming up against , as they have been feasting on the lesser lights for a few weeks .

I love Jurgenson, but I was going with Sonny Siebert. He pitched for the SOX from 69-72.

I thought Fitzsimmons because he was a very successful trainer and I figured there was a great thoroughbred named Seabold.

Meanwhile, the Sox hitting stinks and the Jays' doesn't.

The offense blows tonight. They gonna get good pitching in this series and they gonna have to find a way and hit good pitching.

It's all about the pitching.

Never heard of a race horse named Seabold, but I'm very familiar with Seabiscuit.

Well true but can this lineup beat good pitchers?

I think not. Of course, the giant caveat, even against a good pitcher, is that it ain't good pitching if he's getting hit. Tonight Gausman seems to be in complete command.

Well, if good pitchers got beat a lot, they wouldn't be good pitchers. Fortunately, if one likes to see hitting, there ain't a hell of a lot of good starting pitchers in MLB.

You must be kidding. Nobody in his/her right mind would ever call a thoroughbred Seabiscuit. War Admiral, maybe. That has a good ring to it.

Eventually you gotta make some good contact.

More concerning is that the Sox have seen Gausman 3 times this season and still can’t touch him.

Seabiscuit was a hero during the great depression. But now we have a HR hitting horse named Judge.
