I will miss this one, as well as every other game this week as I look forward to 4:45-5 AM wake up calls the rest of the week. But it's all good, I'm going to Wrigley next weekend!

Keep on doing y'all's thang

Enjoy your time at Wrigley.

I saw my first MLB game at Wrigley as part of a school trip back in 1967. (I lived in Milwaukee, then.)

Thanks! I am so incredibly excited. My co-workers have told me all about how refreshing and impactful it can be to travel alone, and I thought this was a perfect time to try it out for myself. I have had my eye on this series since the schedule came out last September. Got a great deal on flights, so I splurged a bit on tickets. On Saturday night, I will be a few rows underneath the overhang directly behind home plate, and on Sunday afternoon, I will be in the first row in the RF corner. I plan on doing the full walk around to see all the monuments, plaques, etc.. I have also (somehow) never been to Chicago in general, so I will try to do some sightseeing, and try some deep dish pizza, but the ballgames and CPA exam studying will be the priority.

I am also much more optimistic about the Red Sox team I will see on the field than I was when I booked this trip in late April.

Wrigley is a lot like Fenway. History. Old Time baseball feeling.

I can't imagine you not loving the experience.

Although it would be much easier to predict a HR by Devers tonight, I'm gonna go with Cordero. Don't let me down, Franchy.

I should pick a lefty, but I'm opening up a Story Book.

Aagh...don't say things like that.

The host of my favorite morning radio show in Boston (not a sports show) said something similar one day in March when the Celtics were playing the last place Pistons. When they proceeded to lose that night, he took s*** all over social media for about a week. Jinxing is real you guys

Raffy's slow procedure of getting up after a pick-off attempt reminded me of Jim Brown. Every time Brown was tackled he'd get up very slowly as if he was injured. There was no need for Brown to rush to the huddle because he knew the ball would be handed off to him again.
