Right on cue as notin predicted.

How about...

Price

Dalbec

Budget

Farm

Price I’ll give you, but how come Bloom hasn’t produced anyone to take Bobby D’s place? Budget? Who else on the Buget doesn’t belong there? Farm you’re right Bloom hasn’t produced anyone from the farm. To close I was never a DD supporter, or criticizer either.

abb. Anybody but Bloom. What I should have said about DD was I was kind of a fence sitter. He made a couple of good trades for a closer, and a starting pitcher, but then turned around, and made a bad choice to resign Sale. I don’t think he ruined the farm though.

It takes time to start getting results from people you draft at young ages.

Bloom is in the midst of improving the farm. It may end up sucking, and we'll all join you and your talk show callers in one big B loom bash.

Expecting farm results, this quickly, is naive.

It's easy to bash anything and everything. It's the way of the world.

Try asking for a better idea or plan, and all you get is gutless silence.

Much is in hindsight, but when they happen to hit on something they criticized on day one, they become emboldened and never let us forget it.

This is the fourth time you’ve mentioned talk show callers that you said you didn’t want to hear about. Amusing that you can’t help yourself, but because I’m so naive I guess that’s understandable. A.B.B.

Gutless, Disdain, and naive, and the hits just keep on coming. Come on man! Is that all you got? A.B.B.

There are some folks who have a strong affinity for Bloom . They loved him from the moment he was hired. They do take any criticism of him personally . And they will get a bit sarcastic and even nasty about it. I really have not seen that with any other manager or G.M. What has Bloom done to deserve such fierce loyalty ?

Old Red , try not to be gutless. Maybe you should stay off sports talk radio and spend more time on the geek web sites . Maybe you will learn the latest metrics/analytics .

You mean like a cult following? That explains it all. A.B.B.

I’ll try. Then maybe I’ll be able to tell that JBJ is hitting the ball better now, because that dam old eye test isn’t good enough.

Bradley is hitting better because they aren’t pitching him inside as much.

Once they pitch him inside consistently, hello .163 batting average!

I think you should address those folks individually, instead of this "some folks" stuff that doesn't make it clear exactly who you're talking about.

I've defended Bloom plenty of times but I've also criticized him. After we blew the first Baltimore game I said he's the one who constructed the bullpen, and it's bad.

Wonderful optimism, Larry.

I wasn't really including you as part of the PBA. I have addressed those folks individually and will continue to do so. It's really no secret who they are .

When you come right down to it I don’t think there is any need for name calling, or gutless comments etc just because someone has a different opinion that some others don’t like, but it happens all the time.

That is a good point . JBJ should never be pitched away . Sometimes pitchers get a little careless.

What gets me is when they will talk about a poster between themselves . Kind of like gossip . Seeking each others approval. Then they like to double or triple team you.

I enjoy it myself, and I’m usually on the other end, buts it’s kind of amusing that it doesn’t take much to get them going.

Can you say strawman?

The individual poster is named Mr. Strawman.

There is not a single poster, I know of, who has not criticized Bloom more than 2-3 times. Not one.

These guys love to play the persecuted, when all they do all day is persecute Bloom and anyone who tries to justify why he can't fill every hole on a limited budget.

My apologies for my brutal honesty. Next time I shall endeavor to temper my observations of Bradley’s miasmic hit tool.

Media, and fan base is a whole different game in itself in Boston compared to Tampa.

So then what you’re saying is the Sox need is a GM who can ignore all that noise and build an organization using his baseball acumen. Sounds like a good idea to me…

Dude, you literally out of the blue start chanting the praises for Dombrowski and defend him from any and all criticisms while simultaneously making sure no other Sox GM gets any praise. Heck you even lower the standards you hold other GMs to just to make sure they align with Dombrowski’s accomplishments…

They act like Bloom was given DD's winter spending budgets b ut chooses to spend like he's the Ray's GM. This makes him "in over his head."

How quickly 2019 is wiped clean.

The problem with years like 2019 is they can have lingering effects. Like they’ve been having in 2020 and 2021 and 2022…

I’ve probably been one of the least critical of Bloom, but even I’ve repeatedly called him out for backfilling the rotation from the bullpen and then not backfilling the bullpen.

And the whole Houck usage thing, although for this I also (possibly mistakenly) blame Cora.

I’ve criticized Bloom far, far more than dgalehouse has criticized Dombrowski….

Yeah not like your posts at all.

This post is so laden with sarcasm any and all color cues would be insultingly redundant…

Do we know what budget he has actually been given?
