There you go with that again. The numbers dont back you up. He hasnt been "the same" since he got hurt and pitched through it. Today tells you nothing. It is opening day and he was limited to 65 pitches

The numbers back up that he does poorly against the Sox.

I am not saying they tried to hit him. I am saying this is Yankees Sox and retaliation can occur for an unintentional HBP

I see. Got it.

I agree with that then.

That was the only pitch Holmes missed. I feel for that guy. Hard, hard sinkers. Gets victimized by a GB down the LF line. GB from JD moves runner over. GB single up the middle for Dugo. GB should have been DP but bobbled and only one out for Story. Dalbec gets the only pitch missed for single. Not really his fault. Live by the sinker, die by the sinker

What about the most important game of the year last year, the playoff game. How did he do?

Cole left the Sept 7 game with an injury. He pitched 7 days later. Coming into the play in game, he threw 22.2IP 28H 16ER 26K 7BB since he left Sept 7th with an injury. That's 6.34ERA 1.54WHIP after his hammy went. He never should have started that game

If Cole was hurt he wouldn't have pitched. Did he have surgery after the season? Schilling was actually hurt in 2004, game 6, and he was great. Clutch performer. Cole just spit the bit and choked.

Got this feeling of Barnes giving up a walkoff bomb in the ninth…. And we should blame it on Vasquez for continuing to suck with the bat!!!

He threw 27 pitches. No big deal. Thats what he did all last year.

You can do that all you want, but the more multi inning outings he throws the less games he can be available for. He is now cooked for tomorrow

He's not pitching every day anyways. So weather he throws 1 or 2 innings today he probably doesn't pitch tomorrow anyways as it's the first game of the year

He may not be needed, tomorrow. It's a one-run game, today.
