Red Sox trade Hunter Renfroe in trade involving Jackie Bradley Jr

Is calling some one a name caller being a name caller?

Lol

I’ve never denied calling out a few names. Mine are rather tame compared to others but maybe I’m just polishing another turd.

A Dugo in LF? That means that there really isn’t room for Schwarber unless they want to risk defensive catastrophe with him at 1B.

If they brought Schwarber in, the OF depth chart would look like:

Verdugo L

Kiké R

JBJ L

Schwarber L

Duran L

I'm not sold on Schwarber being a great fit (especially now that 10M is going to JBJ).

last season he was worth it, so you can hang your hat on the belief that he has figured out something. You can’t justify not paying Bradley last year but deeming him a good value after having his worst season.

I think Hunter isn't as good as he was last year and I don't think JBJ is as bad as he was last year.

However, I think Hunter is better than JBJ. Do the 2 prospects even it out? Time will tell.

$11M for prospects might be the real reason.

It’s hard to grasp this one.

$11M is a lot for some prospects unless you're really really high on one of them.

“Sucking up” is a better description as it refers to the action and doesn’t characterize the actor.

Sucking up to whom? It's not like Bloom would read this board. Hard to suck up to someone who doesn't know you exist.

Any way we look at this it's mind boggling. As a previous poster mentioned he decided to let JBJ walk which turned out to be the right move considering what Milwaukee was paying him but now he trades for him and essentially hoping these prospects pan out. If they don't this is s*** trade. I can't see JBJ miraculously being productive this year. His entire career he's had about 2-3 good stretches and that's it. He's been utterly crap aside from that.

Like I said before I’m not into name calling. I think it’s hilarious, but childish, but I will go tit for tat if the circumstance warrants it.

I think you got it twisted, you keep talking like the Sox traded for JBJ, JBJ was the throw in. It was all about the prospects. They're going to sign an outfielder.

Right now, the offseason is an unfinished product. Hard to really rate this move until we know the roster.

But yet it’s done anyways.

JBJ was just the throw in, and you know this how? They are going to sign another outfielder, and you know this how? Everything is just speculation at this point, and nobody mows for sure what Blooms intentions are at this point..

It's always just speculation on our part. To me, Bloom has made some really curious decisions. He punted on the 2020 season and wound up getting the #1 prospect for it. He stayed under the luxury tax cap in 2021, made decisions that were often confusing, but it worked out. At this point, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt, at least a little bit. Until the moves start blowing up in his face, it's hard for me to say he doesn't know what he's doing.

I can help.

I know I’m that list. It doesn’t bother me, either…

That's good. You are not only on the list , you are the chairman of the board.

If you are going to do something you might as well be good at it.

Do you honestly think JBJ is more likely to hit 283 again, or 163? Trying to defend JBJ’s BA is hilarious. It’s not being done anywhere else.

283 is an obvious outlier due to the shortened season that year. The real question is 267 vs 163. I want to say I'm 50/50 on which one he could do one more time. However, if you look into his stats, he struggled with the heat. Is that an affect of getting older? Maybe. Some players have said in the past that there is a difference between pitching in the NL and pitching in the AL (i.e. fastball vs offspeed league). I'm not sure if that's still the case. I don't really see him hitting 163 this year, but honestly didn't watch any Brewers games last year, so maybe he's really just straight garbage.

Well, I guess if you take away Renfroe’s money it’s not $11M, but yes I can’t grasp the reasoning here.

Polishing that turd again I see.

He said it's "hard to grasp", didn't he?

You either have bad reading comprehension, or you're just a regular old troll. Starting to lean toward the latter.

I’m asking if everything in the post that bothered you so much is true? It’s not that hard.

I said what I said and it was clear. Not sure what you're missing.

As far as the Renfroe for JBJ trade, only time will tell. Sometimes a change of scenery seems to help , and sometimes it seems to hurt. I don't know the reasons for that, but last year it seemed to help Renfroe and hurt JBJ. Hopefully,we will get the reverse this year. I will say this ; Kike Hernandez was not , is not and never will be as good a centerfielder as JBJ.

Like criticising me for taking a million wrong stands, then criticising me for being a fence sitter and never taking a stand.

Cue: “where did I say you never take a stand…”

Now I’m being called a troll, because I have different opinions from the self proclaimed posse, so circle the wagons all you want.

There ain't no "self proclaimed posse". You must have an active fantasy life.

You still haven’t answered the question if everything was true, or not, and neither has anyone else.

And you said “or” a reading comp problem but he goes off on you calling him a troll.

Proving it’s a comp issue.

Plus he admitted it, saying it’s a present.

There goes the full eclipse again. I admitted I read your comment to quickly, and just assumed, but of course you have never done that.
