Obviously, Cora doesn't feel the same.

You can’t use the main bullpen guys multiple runs behind, especially with Pivetta snd ERod going the next two days. Perez may have to take one for the team here.

At 7-0 , no disagreement . But at 7-3 , why would you quit or hope to get lucky with Perez ?

The SOX have averaged over 7 runs per game over the last 6 and Cora surrenders in the top of the 7th.

I agree with your point. Perez gave up 3 long shots to CF and a rocket to the smartly positioned Bogaerts

The only way the SOX get lucky with Perez is that he resigns. Not re-signs, but resigns.

Re-signs or resigns? I wouldn't give him more than $36MM for 3 years

A big fly here would make it interesting.

I honestly hope the move to Perez doesn't become the difference in this game. After the Devers HR, Cora needed to play to win. Still a long way to go but we have more outs than the NYY to use

Let me correct that. I wouldn't even give him 3 dollars for 36 years. I just hope he'll never be seen again on the mound.

You could say that Perez with his 2 innings and 1 run did better than EOvaldi's 2 2/3rds and 7 runs. Maybe Martin should throw the WC game ?

Just heard recently that Tropicana Mausoleum is considered by those, who keep track of these things, the most pitcher-friendly ballpark in the AL. I always thought it was the Oakland ballpark.

Maybe true. It would account for why the Rays have been contending via no-name good pitching for several years. Once they leave TB and the TRop, maybe not so good

If M.Perez can keep them hitting to the deepest part of the ballpark, why not? And yes, he did out pitch EO tonight. Maybe I was wrong; that 36 million for 3 years does seem reasonable.

Let the NYY 9th finish here with Perez before signing that deal.

I'm sorry but if the CF wall is far enough away, Martin is my starting pitcher in the WC game. I'd say about 410'-415' would be sufficient

Along with a very high fence. Hmm, seems like Fenway resembles those requirements.
