Dugo's out. Dumber than a bag of hammers.

He didn't touch the base because the firstbaseman's foot was all over the bag. Safe is the right call.

I wonder what the explanation is for the call. Verdugo never touched the base.

He couldn't touch the base because the first baseman had his foot blocking it.

He’s arguing a replay, Montoya should be tossed.

Meh. It's the right call but an unusual one. Plus he didn't go ape.

Heart of the order are doing what they do best--making outs when guys are on base and in scoring position.

Killer was Kike striking out; he has to get Dalbec 3rd somehow.

Jays will now push across a run somehow.

That called 3rd strike on Kike was a ball. Can't catch any breaks

I think the plate ump called a swing. He kind of pointed at him, like they do when they call a swing.

Ah, I wasn't watching I just seen the pitch sequence on statcast and they have it as a called 3rd strike

Nick has done all he can do to give them a chance to get off the losing death spiral, but nobody steps up CLUTCH. Think for a second, Dalbec works a walk !!!! Arauz follows with a hit. Then silence

The call had nothing to do with interference; chUMPS said 1st baseman didn't touch 1st base before Dugo did. Video clearly shows chUMPS were wrong.

The announcers screwed up the term, but what New York ruled was obstruction. From my umpiring days, the penalty in that case is the batter is safe, the ball is dead and all runners advance to the base they would have safely gotten to if there had been no obstruction. In the end, the situation ended up correct since 3rd was as far as Dalbec would have gotten.

The Toronto on-field reporter talked to the Jays' manager and he told her the umps called Dugo safe because he supposedly touched the base before the 1st baseman. Doesn't matter because the pathetic SOX couldn't take advantage of bad call.

I was going off what the Sox announcers said; either way, it ended up the way it should have.

So another theory. This one is really simple. Vazquez is overrated as a catcher, and Plawecki knows what he is doing behind the plate.

Great call Cora, you dickhead. Pivetta has only thrown 76 pitches and got Guererro out 3 times.

This was a game that could be won.

Vaz is a s*** catcher, X-man has a sore wrist. Whatever floats your boat.
