These guys are super famous and millionaires, but I guess their minds with all that money and exposure in media make them lose ground and reality. I bet alcohol and/or drugs are behind this, otherwise you can't understand how a sober/clean person can do this.

I didn't mean to imply that he was defending him. Just silly to think that if he was with the Mets, or any other club, that the odds of this happening would magically be lower. Misogynists and sociopaths always find a way

The details of this are pretty disturbing. He will get out of it, though. He will use the same strategy that rapist Kobe Bryant used. He will pay off the girl with millions of dollars in a civil suit. In turn, she will stop cooperating with the D.A. and the criminal case will collapse.

 

But I would expect MLB to hand down a significant penalty, perhaps a year long suspension? The details are disturbing enough to justify a long suspension but he will skirt around the legal system in much the same way that Bryant did.

MLB and MLBPA have agreed to extend his leave from the team through the end of the season.
