I thought we were "stretching out" Whitlock.

You'd think he'd be ready to pitch 5 by this time, after they first said that.

(He's not.)

Rodríguez sucks! Everytime this guy pitches it’s an L lately. He sucks!

How long a leash do you give a guy that was a "winner" for so long?

The team went 19-4 in his 2018 starts.

The team went 26-8 in his 2019 starts.

The team went 4-0 in his first 4 starts in 2021.

That's 49-12 in his previous 61 starts.

The team has gone 1-4 in his last 5 starts.

I'm not trying to defend him. I'm usually one to want larger sample size before doing anything rash, but this is very concerning looking at today's start.

It's only 2-0, but easily the most one-sided pitching "duel" I've seen this year. Sox lineup looks helpless, Astros lineup confident.

I have been saying this for a long time. He’s getting worse and showing absolutely no signs of adjusting or getting better.

This week is supposed to be a litmus test for this team. We shall see.

Beyond cheap, Houston Crawford Box HR from Altuve.

A shame really. The pitching HAS gotten better overall. But Erod seems to be up and down lately.

4 runs and 6 outs for ERod.

I could be wrong, but I think doesn't have a single sharply breaking ball in his repertoire. Cut fastball, fastball, and a slightly breaking changeup are about it.

I cannot remember the last time I saw him throw a curve or slider.

Lo and behold, finally a slider, out of the zone, swung on and missed for a K.

What the hell is Eddie throwing out there. Christ just about anybody in a ML uni can throw this trash.

If I were Eddie today, I would just show the FB. Don't throw it for a strike. The way he is throwing it that thing is meat.

Pretty funny Moon....I get trashed for suggesting he does not get not usage....you know the standard line...he's coming off Tommy John, hasn't pitched in million years....

He's really not getting stretched out.....he's working on a slider for his fourth pitch

E Rod has some bad luck.....in reality, he's our #5 right now....

In reality he needs to be bench. You have pitchers who have bad games and bounce back. He hasn’t shown you anything in the last 5 starts.
