I'm assuming Arroyo replaces Cordero.

The next question may be who does Duran replace?

Chavis?

Trade Santana? (Doubtful.)

Trade Marwin? (He's Cora's guy, so no.)

Go to 12 pitchers? (LOL)

It has to be Chavis, despite him doing pretty well limited action.

Great win! Would love to keep this going until i saw that eduardo rodriguez is pitching tomorrow. Maybe he can surprise us.

I thought Ki'ke was Cora's guy. How many does he have?

Vazquez once again catches Barnes in the 9th when he wasn't the starting catcher. Good job by both of them under pressure.

Great catch of Dalbec's throw by Bogie.

I just don't buy this stuff about how terrible the Phillies are. They win half (48%) their games, which means they are always a threat to win, which is what we saw tonight. I despise Bryce Harper and am delighted he is in a real slump, but that won't last.

Tomorrow the Phillies go with Wheeler, and the Sox send out Eduardo Rodriguez, so a sweep ain't gonna be easy.

Meanwhile, the low-down, no good, rotten Rays--who, it has been said on talksox, aren't even as good as the Jays--are on a 9 game winning streak and 1 game behind the Sox.

But you know what's neat about that? They should be in 1st place but aren't. These Sox are tough.

But, seriously, I like having Marwin on the team. He's a super utility guy.

He's really struggling at the plate.

We need some trash can- banging!

Really.

You win 9 straight and weren't that far behind to begin with, and still you can't take the lead!

He's going against Wheeler, who is tough. But you never can tell because you gotta play the games.

Tampa can't be original about anything. They even had to copy the SOX in winning 9 straight. Plus their ballpark is a disgrace, even by Florida standards.

I'm not one of them. I think the Jay's are overrated and will finish around 500 on the season

Can’t count on the Jays to do anything right ugh. Was hoping they would take out Tampa

Also,

Anyone else think it’s cool how much we are wearing the red and navy jerseys?? I’m digging it

Until this year we usually only wore them on fridays. Now we are wearing them more than our regular ones.

Couldn’t catch the game. Seems like Sox struggled more than they should have, but in the end as I said in the beginning we won as I expected.

I expect a bounce back solid start form Rodriguez today. Today’s game will be on paper tougher but I think we still win again and sweep the Phillies.

That was my feeling this offseason.

But then, by thinking they were a slightly-above .500 team, I did think they'd be better than the Sox. So there is that...

The Jays starting pitching is a big question mark for sure.

Quite the lineup today. Xander and JD get the day off ahead of a scheduled off day tomorrow (and Thursday). Verdugo still DTD

This is another reason it's so hard to sweep. Cora seems to do this more than anyone else.

He DH'd Bogey and others, recently, so I thought maybe he'd rest some of these guys a kittle less than his "norm."

I'm still not sure why he does two at a time.

Let's see if my man, Danny Santana can carry the load, again.

I went to an opening day game there, years ago- the bullpen by committee season- where we blew a big lead in the bottom of the 9th (Chad Fox?)

I didn't think the place was all that bad.

It probably looks worse on TV than in person.

Especially with two days off in the next 4 days

It was opening day, so there was a big sense of excitement, but the place was not all that unlike any domed stadium I've been to, and I've been to a lot.

It's certainly not as nice as Houston's.

Cora wants to be sure they're well-rested for the WS. There's coddling and then there's Cora coddling.
