Eovaldi is a master of the long pitch count. If he ever gets a no-hitter, he will need 180 pitches.

Only at 52 through 3. Definitely not his worst but I agree with you as a whole

Tonight the cutter is working better than the fast ball--it seems to have a little extra bite. Curve looks good too. But at this rate he's need 104 pitches to go 6 innings.

Who will build a new ballpark first? The SOX or the Cubs? Or will Fenway and Wrigley remain until the earth self-destructs?

The latter

I agree. When you build them right the first time, no need for replacements.

When I went to the game a few weeks back, I was one seat away from having my view of home plate blocked by a pole. That's my one gripe. Easy solution though: don't sit in the wooden seats

Well, Thunder, your view could have been blocked by an Italian.

An Italian was blocking the view of the people behind me: Me and my giant head

I think Eovaldi has shown five pitches tonight: fastball, cutter, slider, curve, and splitter.

And, whoops, there goes another rubber tree plant, by which I mean another walk.

Yes yes they do.

Sometimes, astonishingly enough, it's because the other team's pitcher has both command and good stuff. Except for those two awful wild pitches in the 1st, Bassitt has looked tougher than Eovaldi, who seems to be out there for the exercise.

Basically we have chance to score in innings 1, 3, 6 and 9th.

Ahem. The Sox have exactly 1 hit. And now, so do the Athletics, and the game is tied, 1-1.
