Now never compliment him again please, he just gave up a homer lmao.

Kike is quite the hack hitter. I'm still thinking he's way past his prime. But... if he adds to this team vibe? I'm all good with him.

If Xander had elite defense he would be easily the best SS of the game. Needs to work in his glove, although I don’t think he can improve more.

Ya. He’s probably at his peak for that. Still a beauty though.

Threw it into the dirt like a pro on that last one.

Loving more and more this kid who came from nowhere lol

That’s correct.

1 more W to the books boys! Great job!

Good news today: Ryu throws bogey a meatball! Rodriguez (except the two meatballs) was phenomenal!!!!

Bad news today: wouldn’t Duran be a better option than Renfro?

Pretty flimsy "bad" news. Seriously. This was an excellent win, so I frankly don't care whether it was Duran or Renfro. Far more significant was the absence of Devers, which also was not a problem.

Hand pick the best and most recent Short Stop sample size in Bogey's favor: 2018-2021, and yes, he's the best offensive SS in MLB by almost any measure.

He even leads in fWAR, which factors in defense.

14.3 Bogey

14.1 Lindor

Arroyo needs to play more. Stop having Kiké hit leadoff.

Let's see if I have this right. The Sox have the best hitting in MLB--best OPS and most runs scored--and they are 12-6 in a season in which they were expected to struggle (which could still happen).

But meanwhile the lineup is in desperate need of fixing? Is it also time to dump Cora for letting Kike lead off?

Xander is probably the most underrated baseball player of the game. The spotlights are never there and is arguably the best SS bat of the game.

Said that my fav SS’s glove in the game is Iglesias. It’s a shame his bat never panned out. His glove is beautiful.

I don’t know you but I’m greedy brother lol

Just kidding.

All I’m saying Arroyo’s skill set (offense, defense, glove, running and power) is better than Kike’s IMHO and you don’t need to see the numbers. You only need a couple of series to figure out their all-in-all tools. Geez call me crazy but he could end up a 5-tool-player.

I find it crazy that Ryu legit can’t throw past 85. His control at the best of times is really good, but sheesh. He’s an Ace and can’t throw past 85.

He doesn't throw; he pitches. Too bad that 2nd HR off of E-rod couldn't have been charged to Cora. But, the players like playing for Cora, and, imho, that's Cora's biggest strength as a manager.

I blame Andriese for taking too long to warm up. He didn’t look in a big hurry the one time they showed him in the bottom of the 6th and then the Sox went down on 12 pitches against a guy who works pretty quickly. Not sure Cora had much of a choice other than hoping ERod could give him 1 more hitter.
