So he’s our platoon with Hunter .The kid has turned around a few great pitchers.I guess this is it and a PTBnL .Bloom must have completely lost faith in Benny.This frees up what 5 million right ? So with the 8 we could get a pretty Legit Pitcher could we not ? Maybe we just DFA Cordero and use the Money on OF or pitcher ? I don’t get it but I haven’t understood Blooms moves from day 1.Cordero did show in a very small sample last summer he cut down on SO and he does barrel the hell out of the balls he does contact . Three-team deal is finished. Per source, the entire trade is: Mets get Lee, Royals get Benintendi and cash (from Boston), while Red Sox get Cordero, Winckowski, 2 PTBNL from Kansas City and 1 PTBNL from the Mets.

If we save some cash on the budget, maybe the money will be used to sign Odorizzi. (We are $8M under the line plus $5M fofr Beni = $13M Odorizzi is expected to make per year.)

 

Well, they are not down the full $5mill for Benintendi, but if it leads to Odorizzi, this is a clever move.
