So glad Theo said he is not coming back. He just got done trading Gleyber Torres, Eloy Jimenez and Jorge Soler. 113 home runs combined this year. He also signed Carl Crawford, traded Anthony Rizzo, signed Heyward, Darvish, Edwin Jackson, Mike Cameron to bad contracts. Yes he did a lot of good things but he is not the genius everyone makes him out to be. He makes plenty of mistakes just like the average GM. Sox don't need to beg him to come back.

I agree. One other thing Theo had when he was GM here that most GM's didn't have-a scapegoat named Larry Lucchino. It seemed like all the great moves were credited to Theo and all the bad ones were blamed on Larry.

This team quit after the trading deadline. They should be ashamed of the effort they have given for the fans for the last 7 weeks. And it is not just the pitching. In that time their offense dropped from 1st in runs to 4th. The Yankees scored around 100 more runs than the Red Sox in that period.

Don't be so glad until we actually see who we end up with. Thinking we can't do worse than Theo is probably flawed.

My brother, a Cubs and Red Sox fan just told me the Chicago talk radio was discussing a possible trade: Kris Bryant, Jose Quintana and Albert Almora Jr. for Mookie, Price and JBJ. Would you do it? I think I would. I hate Price and his high salary, JBJ can't hit and Betts is gone after next year. Bryant is not a FA until after 2021 and Almora is a good fielding CF making a lot less than JBJ. Quintana has a reasonable contract and doesn't get hurt like Price.

Screw the Yanks.

Nope, I never thought we couldn't do worse than Theo. Some very qualified choices, based on SOX recent history of GM's, may not even want the job.

In a NY minute. Bryant plays 3rd; perfect opportunity to move Devers to 1st.

Left for awhile to watch my grandson's ballgame so I could see some good pitching and enthusiastic kids playing. They got 6 innings in while these dregs are still pretending .

Gorkys' last name. There's actually a couple teams that don't have a Hernandez.

There’s a lot of Hernández in baseball lol. It’s confusing.

I really didn't think it would be possible to buzzkill the 2018 season and World Series but this 2019 version of starters and relievers has definitely done so. Very little good can be taken away from this hot mess, and all the signs are there for a true reset in 2020. Losing to the O's at Fenway is just the cherry on top. Maybe a comeback win would prevent a lost season.

We have a race for the team leader in OPS. Devers & Betts are out of it, but JD & Bogey are neck and neck...

(after 7th inning of today's game)

.944 JD

.941 Bogey

.914 Devers

.914 Betts

This game has nothing to do with this being a lost season.

The season was lost when we got double swept by the Yanks and Rays back in July/August.

No comeback today or a 20-0 win tomorrow is going to prevent a lost season. This season was a loss from day 1. A totally unprepared and unmotivated team that was never really in it. A few guys (Bogie, Devers, E-Rod, Workman and JD(to some extent) had good to great seasons) but most everybody else was bad.
