Pete Abraham

@PeteAbe

Workman blows the save thanks to an error by Martinez in RF that allowed Ohtani to score from first.Bradley should have been in CF, Betts in RF and Moreland at 1B.Now the Sox have to avoid being walked off.

1 walk from the last 24 Sox hitters .

Limp dick offence tonight

And the game started with so much promise, too.

Thanks for proving me wrong, Cashew. Now I can go to bed without kicking my dog.

They needed the win , but poor offence in this game and another blown save

Need I repeat that JD is no longer an OF of any sort other than EMERGENCY.....Neither Mookie nor Beni are CFers because they do not get even decent jumps as CFers. In fact, neither one has a frigging clue where the ball is going when in CF. Only natural since it is a vastly different field to play than corner OF. I am sure that WTF is proud of himself because he once again did not make any of the called for defensive replacements and still won this game if only barely and v the woeful Angels.

Yes folks, (this is me talking, so you knew this had to be coming) the dif between Corner OF and CF USED TO BE masked to a greater degree by the general level of quality of the guys playing MLB OF. But this is Manfred-ball now, where pitching sucks.....fielding at a MLB level is barely tolerated. But all hail the HR!!!!!!

And don't think the shift DOES NOT make fielders even worse because the shift replaces good fielding skills with sitting your fielder's fat ass right were the ball is likely to come to earth if the ball has the unmitigated gall not to make it over the fence.

Somebody has really worked with Hernandez, he was dominant. Threw BB's, and strikes, if he continues like this, that's the Closer for the Sox in 2020, and beyond.

That's a contender for Most Cynical Sentence of 2019!

But I know you can do better, too. :D

Downside to this game is we used so many Relievers, pretty sure were getting a BJ today, to Start. Both games he's lost, the other teams were chasing lost, we gained nothing when he has pitched, in his last 2 starts. Edited by OH FOY!

Actually, I will think exactly that.

Also, the notion that OF play is "worse than it used to be"--as in the great days when baseball players had to work second jobs over the winter--is ridiculous.

The only reason to ban the shift is to appease players like B. Harper who would like to hit for higher averages and earn their inflated salaries.

Yeah, I think we might be seeing somebody like Ryan Weber pitch some innings today.
